Review of the Aureus Alexander historical fencing training longsword 

Still love my Aureus Swoosh Renaissance from 2019. Starting to take a bit of an S-curve set, but even after getting my Krieger Sentinel, I go back to using it.

The pommel on mine also started to rattle but a good whacking with a ball-peen hammer solved that problem easily and quickly. Also had the cord coming undone at the base. Just glued it down again, wrapped a piece of "McGyver tape" around the base of the handle and wrapped the whole handle in hockey tape to protect from further fraying of the cord wrap. The historical length handle is really great btw, personally prefer it over the standard length handle version shown here.

I have the exact same issue with the cord unravelling with my blackfencer synthetic :) Maybe yourself or Nick could do a vid on basic sword maintenance :) apologies if this has already been done, also im a bit of a noob in HEMA and its only recently my gear has started to show wear and tear, I`ve also inherited a pretty rattley old feder that needs some TLC, Great vid as always folks :) thanks
