I just purchased the S340. It works fine when I'm home, but if I try to use the app when I'm at work it will not show me the Live View, nor can I access Events. Which is why I got it. Pretty disappointed.

The issue is probably with your home network/firewall - blocking you trying to access it remotely. Troubleshoot there...

I have two s340 "just installed and four s330 and the s380 base the only thing is the solar panel on the s330 is pealing like dry skin and coming off and yes they are not under a cover so we will see what these s340 do after a year. I do like the eufy system and enjoy the tracking from the s340 wish it was in 4k but that's ok.

One issue ive had with Eufy cameras is the IP rating does not last when installed in exposed location. After 1-2 years, i started to get fogging inside lens from delamination of the lens cover. I thought the first one was a fluke, Got first replaced under warranty at 11 month mark, and 2nd one was after 1 year so they wouldnt warranty. I was pissed. So unless you install Eufy under protected eaves i would not recommend exposed to rain/snow.

My old 2c's needed a silicon cover/sleeve, but have lasted in 3 canadian winters in freezing rain and snow. I did lose one before the cover.

I do. Mine will not allow me to view recorded events. It shows that some of the internal HDD has been used for video recordings but as soo as I go to view them they disappear from the App (but I assume not from the HDD - which I cannot access). VERY ANNOYING FOR A $400 ITEM. Bought from Noel Leeming Timaru NZ.

My camera started off working fine. Now it mostly just takes its time decrypting the video before it plays, and then it never fully plays without interrupting to decrypt again.

Bought one of these in NZ and it shows that there are events recorded BUT you cannot view them. They disappear as soon as you enter the playback area of the App. CRAP item.

I'm curious if the preset positions actually hold their location? I have a Wyze Cam Pan V3 and it also has 4 preset positions, but if you have it track motion it very quickly loses the home location and drifts to a point where it is completely useless.

The preset positions are rocksolid with Eufy. Unfortunately, the Wyze software development is nowhere near the reliability of eufy and that’s why I chose to go with eufy cameras on my property. The wyze cameras are a very entry level camera and really should be compared to eufy cams anyway.

No you do not. You can store the footage locally on the camera and access it directly through your own Wi-Fi router.

yes that is my experience. I have some cameras that are not connected to my Homebase 3 and I can access them in the eufy app just the same as the ones connected to HB3.@@mjonesCO

I guess u can set alarm zones like in the s40 cam. But can u give each zone different actions? Like in this zone movement i want just the light to go on. And if there is movement over there i want the light and the alarm go on. Coz i cant do that on my s40. I have it filming over the front gate. So when i drive up to unlock the gate i just want the light. But when somebody is on the inside of the gate that means a burgler so i want the alarm go off.

Really like it BUT the most important to me is, can i watch it on a TV Screen, like on my PC or only on the Handphone??? Most Cams can only be watched on Handphones, like this V380 ones, it worked before on PC but does not anymore since a year.

Nice review. If somebody steps into the perimeter of the alarm, does the alarm continue to sound whilst it is tracking that individual, or can you adjust the alarm so it goes off after a short while?

Yes, I just installed at my house and I only have 5ghz wifi. No issues.

Just a note incase you are unaware. You get further wifi distance o a 2.4ghz system then you would on a 5gzs system. Think of it as a 5 lane hiway for 5gz that goes only 1 mile. The 2.4gz is a 2 lane hiway that goes 2 miles long. You may find the 2.4ghz is better for wifi cameras.

I really, really wanted to like this camera. However, this camera will not detect small animals(pets) in our yard. I have tried all the settings and still cannot get the camera to detect. I have reached out to Eufy, and as usual, they will get back to me. Love the other features like Pan and TIlt.. really cool! but, If I cannot detect our pets, then it's being returned. Hopefully, Eufy will have a suggestion for a fix.

Here's a dumb question? What happens when a gang of people enter at the same time, with the AI tracking one person at a time, what happens to the tracking of the remainder who are moving in other directions? Need more cameras?

Like all Eufy battery powered camera, it will die in a couple of year. Since the battery cannot be removed, it is basically a throw away.

This just isn’t true. I have had my battery + solar cameras in all four of them over five years now and I have yet to have any battery issues on any of them. I don’t know where you received your information but it’s not true. Sure the batteries can’t be removed but why would they need to sense they last over four to five years. As for throw away cameras I just recently purchased 2 new cameras to be my now primary cameras not because they were bad but I liked the upgrades on the new cams. If anything I think people will do what I did purchase newer cameras for how much better they are in most all areas. Thank You BTW I more than feel I got my moneys worth out of my cams and they are still going strong. This isn’t to say the battery’s are going to last for ever and others can have different experiences than I have.

@@MySledgeHammer My S40 lasted 8 months (basically one winter), Eufy was kind enough to replace it with a refurbished one instead of a new and the warranty of the refurbished unit is for the remaining 3+ months of the warranty. So yes, when the refurbished unit dies, is a throw away.

@@joyjoy534 - I have never owned a Eufy brand camera but I have purchased Reolinks. I have yet to have any batteries go bad but sooner or later your right a battery will go bad or the camera portion will first. But your point is we’ll taken plus I will be throwing mine away once I have no use for it. I just always figured the battery might be the last thing to go bad lol because mine are obsolete now. Thanks
