I need to get me a sit-on kayak. I bought a sit-in kayak because I was in hunting mode a couple years ago when I bought it, thought i would get less wet. I sure have a hard time getting out of it if I don't run it up on the bank.

Mike, this is a great sit on top kayak for fishing. It has many great features... my only criticism is that the seat is uncomfortable after about an hour. So, you will need to get a better kayak seat but for the price and other features... it is well worth it and affordable. Blessings, Rob

The kayak seat that I'm am using for this kayak is from Field & Stream called the "Universal Kayak Seat" which costs $49.99 currently but I purchased mine on sale and got it for $29.99 about a year ago. I also needed to purchase from Field & Stream Nylon Eye Straps for the Kayak Seat to attach to the kayak for $7.99 and it was easy to install to the kayak. Hope this helps! Blessings, Rob

So sorry for not getting this sooner... it just appeared in my comments section. Yes, the kayak seat that I purchased from Field & Stream was the "Universal Kayak Seat" and two styrofoam seat cushions from Walmart. I cushion was place under the "Universal Kayak Seat" and one for the back of the kayak for added comfort and support. Once these are in place... I can spend easily a day on the kayak with no back problems. Blessings!

I just purchased the exact model under the Castaway name used for $150.00 it's missing the crate in the back and the bungee cord in the back is torn off.

I’ve had this kayak since September now, I love it, take it out every chance I get, made a handful of modifications to it and it’s pretty badass now. The paddle I ended up getting were actually quite low budget too but they’re great as well so far, I got an ozark trail paddle that has serrated edges for hacking through brush for 35 bucks. Thanks for this video it helped me make the decision to buy this budget kayak and I’ve had a blast every time on the water since buying it
Totally agree, Bro! These kayaks are made for greater stability but the seat lacks the back support you need for long trips on the water. They are comfortable with a good kayak seat and yes, I have filled one before but it was my fault. A good kayak should be very stable… this kayak is very stable. Blessings!
