for the dc ports, would it support DC 3.5 x 1.35 right-angle connector?

How these 99w batteries compare with let's say a 25,000 mA USB power bank in terms of only power (not connectivity)

Great review. Did it prevent your A7IV from overheating? Also as I am just using it in a studio for interviews could it just be attached to a mini tripod and connect to the camera with a long usb-c cable rather than buying additional rails and mounting plates?

Thank you for watching. Unfortunately, my a7iv still overheated even when on standby. Initially, i was under the impression when purchasing an external battery that i would not have to leave the Sony battery inside, but you have to leave it in because via USB C, it basically charges the battery inside and keeps it fully charged and there is no way to power the camera solely using USB C and without a battery in the body. That kinda sucks but it is what it is. Unless you are using something like the FX3/30 cameras that have a builtin fan, you will run into this with the a7iv. I have thought about maybe buying a dummy battery that connects to the d-tap port but even that i heard still heats up a little bit. I think doing some of the following will help: 1. Increase the temperature sensor to high 2. Leave the battery door open so that some heat can escape from the body 3. Have the screen flipped out so that the heat on the body can dissipate better. Having said that, i still do not regret getting this battery and would highly recommend it especially if you do interviews and have a lot of stuff geared up. Do not have to worry about keeping extra batteries laying around and you can even power an external monitor with it. Great battery and not too heavy at that.

Whats the differences between vb50 and vb99? Loving the video btw👍

It would be the battery capacity. So the more devices you plan to power, the more watt hours you need in a battery. The vb99 obviously provides just that.
