Been looking for a product like this for a while. Great to see the customisable arm heights! Always struggle with this issue wearing my everyday glasses
these are great! I've been using them for about 9 months and wear them over contacts. Rose diamond and xtreme yellow are my go-to picks to cover mid-bright and dusk-mid light conditions. I have deep purple and vermillion as well but I find that the RD suits me better. Definitely worth a try if you're looking at investing in some 'decent' shooting glasses.
Liked shared and (still) subscribed. Good to see more choice for the everyday shooter and more seasoned alike. Looks a great shoot. Keep up the quality informative videos.
Looks like a good alternative to a Pilla set. I wonder how prone to fogging they are with the prescription inserts? I know when I was using over-the-glasses Z-87's with my prescriptions I had frequent fogging problems, which I attributed to stagnant air trapped between the lenses. I've since switched to shooting glasses in my standard progressive prescription, and they rarely fog.
Worth trying one on with a blank insert inside - fogging can be a pain with inserts when you’re warm and the atmosphere is cold. There are “anti-fog” wipes which can be fairly effective but don’t tackle it 100%
Smooth video as normal, I'm guessing youv'e picked up the UK distribution for X Sight, being as you have your own range of quality sports eye wear, Good business sense to offer similar products that are at different price points. I have a pair of your glasses and wouldn't be without them, but I am curious at the possible benefits of the other colour lenses.
Been shooting at Cross guns for almost 30 years, lovely place. Shame they've changed their name and prices since you filmed! Now called Lydiates! Great footage. Interesting glasses. How much do the prescription inserts cost? How do these glasses sit with a peaked cap on your head?
Ah! I didn’t know that. Great place to shoot. They sit well under a cap generally Inserts are only £40 but the quality of the lens is vital. £120 gets a great quality optical lens - anything less is inferior
liked and subscribed (again) look get for prescription lens wearers. can you review the lens holder and best place to get lens inserts from. are single vison best or would varifocal work ??
Will do! Varifocals in inserts aren’t pleasant to use - create too much distortion and peripheral aberration so single vision lenses are always the best. I always find this a really interesting topic. Some people want to buy high end, top quality shooting glasses to get the best vision, but then go and put the cheapest quality optical lenses in them. Makes zero sense! The prescription aspect is the part that does the visual correction after all. Occasionally I’ll have clients who’ll come to see me for a Sportsvision assessment as they’ve struggled with their glasses, and their optician has got the prescription absolutely nailed on…but the lenses they’re using are trash. Wrong optical centres, wrong curve, no coatings. So, go for the best quality lenses the provider of your choice offers and which your budget allows as skimping here won’t give a favourable outcome.
Nice vídeo! How is the clarity quality and the insert practicality? Áre they better than Methow kit from ssp? What 3 colores would you advise? Thank you very much.
The insert is good unless you have a high prescription. The clarity comes down to the prescription lenses you use, some people go for very cheap rx lenses and the result is not good. Pay a little more for those and it will be fine Could you tell me what the Methow kit is and where I can learn about SSP? I’ve not heard of them
I can't use "wrap around" glasses because I fog them up so severely. However, this looks like a product that would rival Pilla at a fraction of the cost.
They have 5-6 pre-set shooting kits to cater for various disciplines/conditions, but also offer fully customisable sets with 2,3,4 and 5 lenses that you can taylor to your needs. They charge a bit more for the custom set options.
I've been wearing them for about 2 years now, AA class shooter, I refuse to pay Pilla money for lenses. I use the rose diamond ones 90% of the time, they are some of the best lenses I have ever worn.
@@edlyonssportsvision9197 yes since my first post asking if they were still in business, I have ordered and received a set of the X Sight shooting glasses. In fact I shot with them today. I love the vermilion colored lenses.
