My thoughts on the ‪@TTArtisan‬ TTartisan 35mm 1.4
This isn't a review necessarily but more of my thoughts after using this lens for a while. It's one of the best budget lenses I've ever tried.

I usually use native Fuji lenses on the X-T4, but recently I got an X-T1 as a “bring with me everywhere camera”, I got this lens to go with it (as you said for just over $80) and I was pleasantly surprised with the built and image quality, I do have to get used to the aperture ring on the front of the lens, I keep going for it to focus (LOL). On a side note, the 35mm (50 equivalent) is my favorite focal length and it’s what I used for over 30 years of shooting film. BTW, I really enjoy your channel format. Be well and stay safe.

I just picked up an X-E1 in VGC on eBay and will use it with this TTartisans lens to shoot manual ‘film style’ like my old manual SLRs back in the day. Should be fun and perfect for this style. Ive used it on my X-E4 as well as other manual focus lenses and I think that the micro contrast of the lens is a factor in the focusing peaking of the camera.

This on the X-E1 sounds like a great combo. Let me know how that works out. That's awesome you have an X-E4. I'll pick one of those up once the demand dies down. They're hard to find right now. I think you're right about the micro contrast being a factor with the focus peaking. I've been challenging myself to go back to focusing without it recently, using the other focusing assist tools. I got to the point where I was relying on it too much and it burned me a few time since I wasn't paying close enough attention to what was ACTUALLY in focus. i’ve been pleased with the image quality from both their 23mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.2 lenses. they’re great options for photographers on a budget!

Nice in depth ! I just received my copy and I noticed a very present blue cast or cooling w/ the lens, Was this your experience as well or have you heard of this or anything like this with your copy ?

oh wow, that's weird. I haven't noticed a blue cast with mine. I'm not sure if that's common or not.

In your opinion which is the best purchase? This lens or the 7artisans 35mm f/1.2?

I truly apologize for the late response. They are both great lenses but lately I have been using the 7artisans a bit more. The TTArtisan might be a bit sharper but the 7artisans has a better user experience and is a little more comfortable to use. The 7artisans also has a full aperture range from f/1.2 - f/22. I would lean toward the 7Artisans.
