Man, nobody who has worked hard in their own relationship wants to just tell their friend to leave their dude. Especially when their own dude has had his problems too before he "got right". So, the best thing to say is "try all your options, go to counseling" and even if we all know counseling is not gonna change anything, that's the better stance to take when your friend is depressed that it's over after the fact and they wanna blame someone for telling them to leave their no good ass dude alone. Neutrality is key. Major key. Lol.

Yes, in management contracts with artist they can put extension clauses where the management or label can choose to continue the contract with or without the artist consent

I worked for a music attorney a few years ago, I think Stevie has an agreement that gave him a lot, as though he were a label or big time manager or attorney, but remember Joseline wanted the fame and probably just signed off on it. 30% is a very high cut, it should be 15-25%, a deal can be extended and labels, managers etc will have it whereby they are given the choice to extend and its not up to the artist. Artists should always have a term limit if possible, so they aren't paying off these people the rest of their careers, but some may not feel they'll get another chance to make it and sign it any way.

If she has an automatic renewal on her contract yes. Most people have to cancel or terminate a contract prior to the renewal date which is usually on the anniversary of the originally signing date. Usually a person can terminate 30 days prior to the renewal in writing.
Don't sound like she did.....but Joseline was acting like her lawyers have looked at it too. I would hope her counsel would see that even if she didn't.

If Stevie put something in the contract that says it renews after X amount of years if you don't request to leave your contact. Ya lol it can happen. That's why people better start making sure everything in their contracts have been reviewed. And since she just found it after it was "up" it's very possible.
