It's really beautiful watch, dimensions are really sweet, thickness too, bezel is ok despite it could be scratched easily but that's life, dial and hands colours are great, ideal for a low light conditions. It's really hard to find something good that is not expensive (except some G shocks), this thing is almost perfect, personally i would make some changes here but ok....outer bezel don't have to be rotational, that's good, inner rotating bezel is very good invention because it's protected. There's only one thing that guys from Phoibos really could do, they could make a drilled lugs, that would be really great, it wouldn't hurt anybody. NH35 means that they are playing on a safe bet Simucom, parts are everywhere, movement is disgustingly old and inaccurate but it's a good old proven working horse, so...that's good....almost. Good video Simucom Like
0:05 - Same :) I would leave the more proper pronunciations for the aristocracy, and the watch for myself ;) 1:49 - Love the all-mm-measurements-in-one-screen approach. 2:17 - Self-irony is always well appreciated for me :) 2:45 - To be honest... I'm a bit bored by rotating bezels... 60, 120, 360 clicks, no clicks at all, alignment tests, ceramic/sapphire/aluminum inserts... of desk-divers. This one is a sip of fresh air. The Roman numerals work fine with this fixed bezel. Thanks! 4:03 - Imagined the octopus logo glowing too. 4:24 - Love these amber tones. 6:51 - Not only to you :) 10:51 - Very elegant look indeed. Btw, the date-window position is the right one in my opinion. More symmetric. 12:45 - Yes, I disagree :) After all, everyone has an ass and an opinion. 13:46 - Agree
I'm glad you like the new dimensions style. I wasn't happy with the last way I did it (with the watch on the wrist). I felt it was lazy and looked unprofessional, and this new way looks way cleaner
This is a well thought out original- LOVING the blue variant!! My most comfortable “heavy” watch. Coin edged bezel does a great job protecting polish surface and sapphire crystal… This is one tough, elegant piece!!! My only niggle is with that extra long hour hand (and the crowns protrude out a hair too far for me).
Great video. Still liking the "flow" of your format. Phoibos seems to make a great watch. As far as the NH35/36 movements...I buy the watch. Yes, I will pay a premium for an ETA or Sellita, PT5000 etc...but, I have minimal regard for the movement. The PLUS for the NH35/36 is, if the watch stops working, buy a movement for $45 and its fixed!!!! They are easily regulated. I do have a timegrapher and always dial mine in to +3 secs a day or better. The Eagle Ray has been on my get list for quite a while...perhaps this week....perhaps. Thanks for the great review!!!!
Awesome watch but the only thing that I don't like is the bezel. Not a deal breaker but i would like to see it a a smooth bezel. A Sellita 200 would have been a great movement for such a good looking watch. WatchChris showcased a watch with a NH35 for 2 grand+ so I would consider this a bargain 😀 😆 Cheers!
