Review: ROYAL BRUNEI's A320 Economy Class - Better than Most!

I have flown Royal Brunie, Melbourne to London, several times, economy, and it is by far and away my preferred airline. Never had a bad flight. Would love to experience business class, but not financially viable. Will continue to use this great little airline, when we can fly, again

ROYAL BRUNEI are the first choice for me, have been on a quite a few different airlines and the service and quality they provide is secound to none. glad you enjoyed your flight Josh.

Wholeheartedly agree! They were fantastic last August I took them KUL-BWN-BNE.

I remember being scared of flying, so do get over my fear went on my first flight was on Royal Brunei from London to Australia by myself, needless to say it got my over my fear of flying, i didnt know it then but Royal Brunei was the best Airline i would ever use, the food was amazing.

My verdict after watching: Small airline, good product.

I've never travelled in flight, never been inside any airport,but when I watch your video I've got complete picture of both... Love your work Sir..

I guess Turkish also has IFE and menus for their Istanbul to domestic and schengen flights. They are usually operated by a 737 (well, I got an a330 to Barcelona on 3 hr flight) .hoping to see a review on that product too. :)

I have flown with Royal Brunei and I can honestly say they are good !! The cabin crew are great they keep you hydrated on a long flight with plenty of water and juices . I would fly with them again !!

Thanks as always Josh...great review, I hear some stories about RB on International flights due to their "small" fleet of aircraft that if something goes US then you can be stranded for some time either in London or Brunei etc. As a dry airline they do have very competitive Business Class fares to London from Australia and other ports but Caveat Empor...buyer be ware !! Well done mate !!

Bus gates are awesome you get to see the apron and all the amazing aircraft up close...I am a pilot and I am always airside but never get tired of being on the apron.

There is personal entertainment in royal Brunei flight review. Good seats 150 business class in total. Safe trip to Brunei.

I would say that the A320 neo on a 6 hour red eye flight from Brunei to Brisbane with non reclinjng seats. Most uncomfortable.flight from Australia to Asia I have had, including the likes of AirAsia. The 787 product to Melbourne is great though. Avoid the Brisbane flight. The A320neo of course.would be still great.kn short hops around South East Asia

Why has it got written "reserved" on each seat's head rest?

We used to enjoy Royal Brunei flights to and from Perth and we stopped over to visit friends in Brunei on the way through. Unfortunately Royal Brunei stopped flying to Perth. Our favourite now is Garuda Indonesia.

Jet bridge anyday, but whenever the flights have a quick turnover I feel bus gates are much faster. Also as you said the full view of the aircraft and the ride on the tarmac. Good one Josh, lovely plane !

Hey Josh, great video. My first ever flight I ever was in, was a RB. Back in 2000 when they had a flight from Kolkata, India to Dubai. Great experience. Last time I traveled on a RB was in 2004 or so and it's great to see them still having a world class service for a not so commonly known airline!

Never flown on a NEO airbus jet , but the silenced engines are much welcomed addition on all A320s . They sound like someone lawn mowing over your head especially during take off and landing ..... Nice review 👍🏻

i flew with them a couple times around 2012, they were much better than singapore airlines in todays time

Personally I am ambivalent between jet bridge and bus gates. They both have benefits. With bus gates you get to see the entire aircraft as you transfer to the aircraft. With jet bridges it’s all under cover. It all depends on the weather.

[comment June 12, 2021] I don't mind bus gates if the weather is warm and it's not raining .. but if it's raining of course I prefer jet bridge - LOL. I've had to take a bus after landing when it was pouring rain .. and I can tell you it wun't any fun .. LOL. Fortunately I have learned to have a plastic raincoat with hood when flying in my carry on for such emergencies. Always quite entertaining when you're flying on Muslim airlines where the female cabin crew has their hair totally covered.

Noooo no bus rides! Walking to a plane is nice but I detest buses most of which are smelly and lack seats.. At least in Asia and M. East.. In Indonesia these rides are short but go have an Etihad busride esp arriving! Horror.. Great clip.. love to see ergonomic economy class..

Stairs, feel like a film star !

Bus gates vs jetways ... my favourite is jetways BUT with stairs to allow boarding via the rear stairs. My home airport of Adelaide boards most domestic flights this way (Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar). This speeds up boarding and also allows you to get a great view of the aircraft (if you’re seated in the rear) without having to catch a bus. 👍 Love the NEO engines! 😍

Don't they have first class? I've been trying to find it. If they don't, that'd give me a mighty shock because why not? They're petroleum rich country; surely, they could provide a fantastic first class!

Bus gate gives not only an amazing view of the aircraft but also of the airport too. Love to see the aircraft so close and passing through all the various aircrafts on my way❤

you make me think of a Japanese Apple Pear on a flight.

Boarding using the steps from the terminal is my preference, allowing me to take unobstructed photos of the aircraft outside.

Needless comparison with LH I think. Let Royal Brunei operate in and out of Europe where they have to pay mammoth charges and compete with so many other airlines and then we can compare... You are comparing Apples with Mangoes.

A friend flew RB LHR - BNE - her hubby booked it as she needed to get back to uk urgently for a sick relo. After an emotional and stressful stay in the UK, she was pretty devastated to learn they are a dry airline. She'll never fly them again.

Brunei’s treatment of same sex attracted people is something I cannot stomach and any promotion of a Brunei state run entity I have to meet with a boycott.
