Well we can just wait until rtings compares the headphones to the qc35s, because, man, _they use mannequin heads in a wooden DIY cubical to test audio quality, nc performance and sound leakage_
zues121510 And good for them. I'm glad they can do that. I can't. Our site is small and independent, and we have to use our ears and brains and hearts to get the job done. It's cool if you disagree with us, and if we do truly turn out to be wrong, we will always correct later. To my mind, the ANC on the QC35IIs is better than on the WH-1000XM3s.
Hear it than reading it. It's not too different, especially in a moderately noisy environment like coffee shop, shopping mall, light traffic street, or worse environment, with music playing in 50% volume only, we hear nearly no difference in their NC. I won't be surprised why some people like The Master Switch thinks QC35II better. Practically, if you're not A/B testing, you won't feel either one better, and won't regret buying either of them just for their NC. Just stop reading and stop telling yourself what you have is not good enough and hoping for more, either the NC can satisfy most people till they break...
This guy probably has an iPhone. I can tell cause he just throws facts out there without any idea lol Also many Hi-Res players are integrating LDAC as well so yeah, I'm going to hit 'not interested' on this video
I think that plastic is better than metal on headphones like these because metal is heavy, and a build that incorporates lots of it will make the headphones less comfortable, by a long shot. The 20g difference between the xm3 and xm2s is phenomenal. I can imagine a metal version of the xm3s having a larger difference than that. Also metals can scuff more easily/get paint chip off, and can cause problems in airports, etc, etc, *_etc_*
So I've already tested and researched these headphones to become my new pair. But after seeing your review I am extremely excited about getting them. Best review I've ever seen about anything. Brilliant job mate. ,🤘
Sony m3's noise cancellation tech are actually what bose needs to catch up to not the other way round, but a bose fan is like an Apple fan. Sony should they try to change the game, well now you know what can happen. This my unbiased opinion, I don't use Sony any more but would like to again with confidence and tried these out and they are great. Better than bose.
Did you test the headphones with an Android Phone (using the LDAC codec) AND an iPhone (using the AAC codecs)? If you tested the headphones with both, then could you hear an audible difference in quality between them? I don't want to have to switch my phone to get the best out of these headphones...
And if you don't use it with a smartphone and download the app, will they still sound good? I use a DAP that has Bluetooth, but no wifi or anyway to download an app to it.
Here in sweden you cant use xm3s right now.. Too cold for The touchpad to work. Gonna have to return them because i use them like only outside. They mute randomly when out in The cold and The touchpad is unuable. Is bose te way to go because they can handle - 20 celcius
I see this video with my wh1000xm3 😊.. what a headphone ... Sony until now (win the battle) I have so many headphones like sennheiser pxc550 and Bose qc35ii but Sony take out all of themes Sennheiser and Bose must answer Thank you for nice video bro 👍
Agree that they can't compare. WH-1000XM3 is not the pair if you want details and fidelity. WH-1000XM3 sound is fun, impressive, addictive, but I'd not recommend for audiophiles.
@@jj-yg5tv I have no idea about it mate, sorry. What I mean is that I'd really like to get one, however it's a bummer for me that it can't connect two devices simultaneously. Sadly, I don't have it.
@Cali United, Yes, my 2 pairs are like that. Their passive wired sound is very different than after switched on. I think Sony's DSP push per frequency band down to profile the sounds you hear per the default or EQ.
I think not only it can't connect 2 devices simultaneously, I found another big problem is that, it won't allow you to connect to a 2nd device unless you get to the 1st device and disconnect it from bluetooth menu. This is the case for iOS, I've yet to test Android or NFC. However, if I left my another iPhone connected in another room or dropped between the sofa and can't find it, that means my WH-1000XM3 can't connect to any other iOS devices. It is weird, cos other non-multi-connect devices allow previously connected devices to seize the bluetooth connection. Sony has the 2019 technologies, but a 2001 user experience...
I once had the first pair having unusable call quality. Contacted Sony Support but can't fix it. After replacing with another pair, it seems better but the mic quality is still very muffled, though still usable in certain situation. If call quality is your major concern, Bose is a no-brainer choice, nothing in the market barely close to their call quality. You can hear the Bose mic quality from my video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cZwr8D-qYHk.html I'll update the recordings of the replaced pair in coming 48 hrs, still some locations to be tested again to confirm how good (or bad) it is, and if it's deal breaker.
Dude I don't know what you are talking about, I owned both QC35 and XM2, and the Sonys just annihilate Bose when it comes to ANC, especially in the mid range frequencies.
A good review but sorry like other RU-vid Reviewers nothing as changed,I have the WH - 1000XM2 and the functionality is exactly the same, you are hyping up The Mk3's to much. the MK'S 2 's are very good with the technology but you can still hear the car engines droning and ambulance sounds seep through the headphones. Admittedly the noise is reduced. Also the whooshing sounds of the underground tube though reduced still gets through the WH -1000XM2'S. I am sceptical the way everyone is hyping up THE WH-1000XM3'S. Android Andy and Gym Caddy two other RU-vid Reviewers claim although the Noise Cancelling of the WH - 1000XM3 is better they is much between the MK 2 AND MK 3.And I for one are more tempted to go with what they say.Was tempted today to fork out another £330 for the WH -1000XM3 but I bit my tongue.
A great video. I need your expertise. I subscribe to Google Play. I heard that Shazam is a product that can identify a song playing - like many other similar products. But I have heard that you can save a particular song to a play list. I am a rookie dancer. So, it would be nice to save a song to a play list called Waltz, or swing etc. Is there any way that you can create a video on how to do this? I would appreciate your or anyone else's help.
Hi guys I have a prombem So I have OnePlus 6 and I'm going to buy those headphones. I wanted to change my Bluetooth codec to ldac but it doesn't work. I went to developer options and I found the place where you can change those codecs. But... When I'm trying to change it, and press ldac it doesn't do anything. It just stays default. It doesn't matter how many times I try. Can someone help me with that problem, please?
Whatever device connected to the Bluetooth at the time that you are trying to change the codec, is preventing the change, as it is not compatible with the codec. try either: 1. disconnect any Bluetooth device from your phone. You will find that you can change the codec. 2. or, connect the Sony xm3 with your phone, then change the codec. Also, make sure to disable the dual audio (if your phone has this feature). Hope that helps.
@@aminmanchester8383 yeah I have OnePlus 6 so I have that dual thing. Why I have to turn it off? And I'm not connected to any device atm. It still doesn't change it when I'm trying to do it but I have to try that changing the codec while I'm connected to mx3 when I buy them
@@rasmus5491 Now that I have received my Sony WH1000x M3, I can confirm that the app on my phone changes automatically from LDAC, to Aptx to THE LOWER CODECS AUTOMATICALLY. When I attached my headphone to my Samsung S9 Plus, and choose best sound quality in the app, the codec shows LDAC. I didn't have to go to the settings (developer options that is). When I attached the headphone to my PC via bluetooth, it shows Aptx. Bear in mind that when you try to play with the sound position control or surround options in the app, it will reduce the codec to the SBC.
You really think that these are the ‘best sounding’ noise cancelling headphones? Better than B&W PX? Really, better all round maybe but better sound I think not.
Bose is more comfortable and has a more balanced sound. The Sony is too bass heavy. The Sony's are better at cancelling out noise especially in the mids and highs than Bose. This model of Sony's is the best at cancelling out noise of any headphone ever made to date. I've compared all of the top models. I give Bose a nod up as the over all best. Sony still needs to improve on comfort. In that area Bose is still top dog.
