I really like these in depth overview of games. Both commentary and rules breakdown followed up by summary. Thanks for an excellent review and thanks to MMP for sending Abbott and Costello (er, I mean Alexander and Grant) a copy. Well worth the advertisement and review. My copy of the game arrived 2 days ago and I already have it set up and ready to go. Can't wait. Would be nice by the way, to see some actual gameplay by both Grant and Alexander, to supplement the video reviews and box opening videos. Just set up a camera and upload whatever gameplay you guys do - in a group or solo. Don't think any editing would be very necessary. Sure to get some views from your gamer niche followers.

Thanks for a great review. I would love to see a Storm Over game of Alesia as a 2 player vs. 1 player with the 2 players as the besieged and relieving forces, and they are not allowed to talk to each other.

It must've really been difficult for the Judeans once they began murdering each other in terror.

Cards in a area impulse game, interesting. I played the old ones, Thunder at Cassino, Turning Point Stalingrad etc, many years ago. I liked the chesslike structure of those. Very nice review.

Thanks TPA, great overview of what looks like a very interesting game. Would really benefit from a mounted map - it looks so good and deserves a better quality board to play on.

Really enjoy area impulse games and was looking forward to this one - but at around £90 - £100 for it here in the UK it's a bit pricey for a paper map and 2 counter sheet game (I picked up the 4" monster box of Pacific War for the same price)

Did you guys ever see the BBC drama series "Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire"? One of the episodes follows this siege as well as the siege of Jotapata. It covers this period and perspective from both sides.

You need to play Storm over Arnhem the AH classic that started the system and then Breakout Normany the Last Avalon Hill Wargame before Hasbro killed them
