What receiver did you cram into this guy? I see you modded it slightly so it would fit better. I am planning to do the same thing, just wanted to know where to start.
Yeah that's always an issue with these things. Most have a nice receiver to pick up a signal from inside your house. Impressive. I don't even fly my Atom in my neighborhood. Scared of it falling in someones back yard if I lose signal or crashing into someones car. LOL
Yea definitely something to be careful with. My Taranis will tell me if the control link is getting weak, and I only fly over sidewalks or places I know I could go get it and not endanger anyone or make them feel like I'm spying on anything. It's just fun to just sit on my couch and then come park in the living room when my timer is up.
thanks, almost bought this. but the standoff in the way, the extra driver non-sense and the poor placement of the antenna have me looking elsewhere. Just too many options to put up with bad designs
Wooooow. I've been there and it is beautiful, but whaaaat. Build drones on tv?? That sounds so coool. Will you say how the tv programa is called?? I wish you luck
I mean I can still hear around me, but yea I did notice through the FPV quad that there was someone near me that I didn't know about so that was scary. I forget I'm just a guy sitting somewhere
My tarot130 works great, but the quality of the image I get is not ok. I get like black stripes at the shiny areas of the sky. I don't know if there is some kind of tunning I have to try, or is it a problem with image formats. Or maybe the camera is defective, but I cannot enjoy it at the moment
That is a sign that you are tuned into the wrong channel. Manually scan through the 5 or so channels that you can see the picture on and choose the middle one.
Just about the Moir balance, I find that the props that come with the quad and one that I have bought from HKing, were very unbalanced.. if you balance the props the motors sound much better.. at least on my 130 it improved them heaps ;)
can you please tell me how to setup my tarot 130 in clean flight i am a newbie i don't have that much experience i have a rm 601 receiver and it is a p p m how do you set up the
Assuming: 1. The Receiver and the Transmitter are bound to each other 2. You have managed to connect to the Flight Controller with CF Then, under the receiver tab, you can select ppm as the receiver type, save and reboot, and see if the channels are responding correctly
The downside to newcomers is that it's a little hard to fit a receiver in there. But yea it's pretty good and hard to break. Do buy extra props though, they do break. I recommend some kind of goggle so that you are forced to fly only with reference to the video. I have a review of these coming next and they are pretty good: goo.gl/zLlWz2
+Samm Sheperd (SNRS) i bought this one as a first brushless quad.. i can feel it pretty powerful. but for some reason it doesnt lift easily and fly upwards and sounds harsh.. the battery drains in couple of minutes i had alot of time troubleshooting it that I gave up and got back to flying my Nihui u807.. later bought xk 251 which is great but feel that the tarot 130 was a bad decision.. I know its tempting to buy one that doesnt easily break but for first time brushless I would suggest finding something more popular = more chance not having problems
+Samm Sheperd (SNRS) I've seen people using insulation tape as a trial and error thing. Applying and trying again. Even a cable tie around different points on the bell using the knot as a weight to identify the light/heavy points. Not done it myself but looks quite effective when spending a bit of time doing it.
Samm, you should put the quad on a piece of cloth before you test for vibrations. Testing it on the table doesn't really give a fair view. Otherwise, nice review!
Hey Guys....I need help pls! my Tarot 130 doesnt work.... idk why... the remote is connect with the tarot but the tarot aint reacting. I've tried everything ,different setting. The tarot is brand new..

I'm having a really bad case of a drift problem on this quad for some reason - can't really fly it in angle / horizon mode, after couple of seconds it starts banking to the left that's it, sometimes it takes entire stick movement just to keep it horizontal. I'm suspecting motor vibration might be the case here, as inputs are centered correctly.
You need to perform the ACC calibration. Place the quad perfectly in level (maybe with four Lego Bricks under each arm on a LEVEL surface), and press the calibration button. Doing this 2 or the times in a row with 10 seconds pause inbetween is never wrong. And don't move it while calibrating. Not even small vibrations!
