I agree, I love their radios. I have a few others, the R9012 and D-808, both very simple analogue radios, but both very good. And also the PL-368, which is just exceptional on shortwave!

Thanks for this Franco. Yes, like you I don't like the fact that the display goes dark after just a few seconds, wish I could change that! Mine also causes some interference when I adjust the volume, which is weird. I still like the radio a lot though!

Thank you for your comment and suggestion, it is one of the radios that is on my wishlist. I definitely want to review it, but I don't own one yet. I do plan to get one at some point, I think it is a very nice radio.

Yes, that is another nice function on this phone. I did not even mention this in my video, although I do it myself sometimes. There is no bluetooth, but playback via the aux cable is great. You can also use the radio as a computer speaker with the USB cable.

@@swlistening ok great thanks I will probably get this for it's great speaker and AM FM I have the 990, which is good but too big to take out of the house so I basically use for media internet radio via phone I will buy this and sell the 990 thanks.

@@ashab1 If I were you I would keep the 990 for SW, remember that the ICR-110 only has FM and AM. It is handy to carry around though, as you say, and the sound is indeed great. So, perfect for aux input from your phone.

@@swlistening yeah I have a bunch of SW radios the 330 and sihuadon are my favourites and cover most things, the 990 is a great receiver however I find the 330 works almost as good on SW speaker quality isn't really an issue 👍

@@ashab1 I have a PL-368, which is basically the same as the PL-330, just looks different. I love the PL-368, I have had many great SW catches on it!

In my opinion they are about equal, with the ICR-110 marginally more sensitive. The ferrite antenna in the ICR-110 is just a little bit bigger than the XHDATA D-808. The thing is, on the ICR-110 you cannot change the bandwidth, but I think the much better speaker on the ICR-110 makes up for that. I can hear even weak signals quite clearly on the ICR-110. If you want to buy a radio mainly for AM DXing then I think the ICR-110 is a very good choice, quite a bit cheaper than the XHDATA and it will pull in weak AM signals. Even better with a loop! Last night I picked up Vesti FM from Russia on the ICR-110, 1413 kHz. That's a very distant signal, keeping in mind that I am in South Africa. I will upload a video later. That being said, I do love my XHDATA D-808 also, and I think it is also excellent on AM.

I don't own either the 310 or the 330, but I do own a 368, which I think is pretty much the same as the 330. It can also be plugged in to the loop, and does really well when plugged in. I actually think the AM reception on my 368 is better than the XHDATA D-808. I would love to have a CC radio one day, but those ones are really expensive to import into South Africa. Interesting what you say about the noise floor, compared to the the 330. How is the CCrane's sensitivity compared to the 330? I kind of have a similar experience when comparing the ICR-110 and the XHDATA D-808, I think the noise floor on the ICR-110 is much lower, signals come through much clearer on the ICR-110 when I use the loop. That's why I like it so much. The 368 also, I really like it.

@@swlistening The CCrane EP PRO gets a strong daytime signal from a Dallas, Texas AM radio station WBAP 820 here in central Louisiana 300 miles away at noon if I take it outdoors away from electronics and power lines. Best AM/MW receiver on earth. Using the fine tuning knob boosts the signal even more. Also at night when MW stations start wavering and you can`t understand what they`re saying the finew tuning knob can clean up the signal. It`s incredible! For that reason the EP PRO is hands down the top AM/MW receiver ever made. What a great feature! Plus it has external antenna inputs. I haven`t tested the 330 with the loop plugged in outside in that location. I`ve made two larger loops and planned to convert them so I can plug them in too. When using them inductively (see my vids...my loop is 17 turns of 24 AWG magnet wire on a 16 inch pizza box tuned with a 450 pf tuning capacitor. One loop I made is on a 4 ft square solar panel box...it`s just an experiment) they`re much more powerful than the AN-200, but the AN-200 is a wonderful match to the 330 at night. Here in my camper though I had to string out a 200 ft long wire to get a clean signal in for SW & MW because of interference, and the AN-200 is amazing when connected to the wire and works with all my radios that way indoors. The loop puts out a much cleaner signal than a direct connection to the antenna. One thing I noticed...my Tecsun PL-660 works on AM/MW when I plug the antenna into it...but only if I carefully plug it in part way. All the way...nothing...that way only works for shortwave. I tried to get the external antenna to work this way with my Eton Elite Executive but it didn`t, so there`s something unusual about the antenna input of the 660. It can work with external AM/MW antennas. My antenna is grounded to the anchored metal frame of the carport style roof over me camper. Another thing I love about the 330...it can be recharged with a 20-30 watt portable folding solar panel. I`m a prepper in a hurricane zone so that`s important.

@@swlistening Also the Sangean PR-D4W is an excellent AM/MW receiver. It can be set for the European tuning steps too. It`s made by the same company as CCrane and is less expensive. It`s very near being just as sensitive. The Sony ICF-19 and Panasonic RF-562D are very sensitive as well but have the DSP muting and are best for long range daytime reception. Not sure if there are European MW/FM versions. The Panasonic had a 6 inch ferrite antenna and the Sony has a very thick 4.75 inch one. The Sony runs over 400 hours on three D cell batteries. I used it as a hurricane radio when we were hit by two storms here in 2020. It was the only possible way to get information because not even home phones were working and local radio towers were damaged.

@@baneverything5580 The Sangean PR-D5 has been on my want list for a while, followed by pretty much any CC radio, and then the Sangean PR-D4. But all these radios appear to be aimed at the US market, and mostly available in the US market. Which means I need to order from the US. This means very high shipping fees. That's why, unfortunately, I keep ordering from China. The shipping fees from China to South Africa are about 75% cheaper than from the US to South Africa. Maybe some day when I manage to travel to the US I will pick up a CCrane radio!

Yes, it does have an aux input, and I have used it for recording. It works well.

At the price, yes, I still think it is the best. Its performance on MW is almost as good as the D-808, which is a lot more expensive. There are better MW radios for sure, like the new Qodosen SR-286, but a lot more expensive.

@@eyadabusharar2457 Right now, based on the radios I own and that I have tested, yes, I think it is the best for MW. It is quite expensive though, and for really great reception you need an external antenna and be away from RFI. But even with the internal ferrite antenna MW reception is excellent, with very low noise levels.
