Thanks for all the coverage of The British Way. I appreciate the time you (and Grant) took to review the games across the videos and blog. I'm glad you've enjoyed the games! Everyone should be on the look out for some British Way news that will be announced sometime soon...

Just managed to get a new copy of this from eBay at a "reasonable" bid price (don't ask me how much I paid for A Distant Plain and Gandhi). After a few two-handed playthroughs of Palestine I still have a lot to learn (I lose with the British by the end of the first prop round). I still like the game and will keep trying, but it has not convinced me that it would be a better intro then Cuba Libre or Vol 2 of ICS A Gest for Robin Hood, the later still being the more friendly to new players. I do miss those solo flow charts, not for solo play so much, but rather helping you out with seeing what might be the best next move for where you're at. Maybe you could do a "Faction Function" of TBW? Thanks for the video, great source of knowledge as always.

Thanks for this. Much appreciated. There's an updated player aid for the Cyprus scenario on InsideGMT's site. My 2 previous comments with the link have been deleted - assume it was related to the link?

Hello. Thank you for getting me interested in COIN games. Where can I find info on how to develop games and expansions?

I know there's a COIN discord server where there's lots of designers and developers and fans that could assist.

@@ThePlayersAid Thanks. I'm working on a couple of projects with a friend of mine. He’s a rules guru and is helping me tune the ideas. We’ll start playtesting soonish.

Great overview, thanks. I've been playing this once a week at work for lunch with a buddy for a few months. This is my first COIN foray. We have yet to get a game done in under a couple hours of play time, probably because we can only play for 45 minutes to an hour at a time and every time we set it back up we have to reintroduce ourselves to what's going on. As you mentioned, even though the mechanics of the game are pretty straightforward and can be well understood within a short time frame, actual strategy and solid tactical considerations are much more difficult and take a quite a bit of time. To say the game is easy really only touches on the mechanics. To understand with all the nuances of how to truly play the game well is a much deeper, thoughtful and difficult consideration. And, like you, I consider that deep understanding to be the goal of this journey.

Great video! I hope they come out with something similar for a higher player count. most of my gaming happens at game nights for the local North West Indiana board game group. Luckily we're getting more players interested in games like COIN and John Co. but we usually only have 3 or 4 hours. But I may still pick it up just for the quick teach for the system

Got my copy the other day. I have played Palestine twice, British won first game then I figured out how to better play the Irgun and they won on the last propaganda phase by hitting exactly 0! LOL what a great game. Ready to move on to Malaya and the campaign game soon. I realize this is more of an entry level, is there a game you would recommend as a baby step up from this? Cuba Libre maybe? Thanks so much for this follow up I know ya guys dont normally have time for that but this game deserves some attention.
