Really good points of mention, even saying the aspect of as it hears up it does get a bit softer but doesn't overall loose its form over time. And that's the quality yoi are purchasing.
I'm thinking of using this to fill in the empty space of my keyboard for sound dampening. Would you think, sound absorption would be better for the more or less firm putty? Is the firmest one the heaviest? Thanks!
I have a thought that doing that may ruin your keyboard. As an alternative, automotive industry uses butyl rubber as sound dampening so cars don’t rattle from the speakers. Maybe cut some strips of the for the keyboard?
I've had one for over 7 years the Green one. And I will say I'm not sure if it was the climate I had it in, or the oils from my skin over time. But it has not dried out, but does not completely seem to be the same strength. So very possibly over time they do loose their use, but I think they are an extremely useful thing and I would say the only transition was the Green turned into something along the lines of between Yellow and Pink.. still usable, just not as durable.
