Agreed. He was piss-poor. A great Super level 10 but definitely not up to scratch internationally. No excuses at all for him behind a dominant pack versus a tier 2 nation!!!
Thanks for your content, one thing I think was exposed for the wallabies last night is that we don’t have enough pure speed on the park. Corey Toole is a must as soon as we can. Without that type of play other teams will just run around us.
=D Wouldn't a competitive showing against the Boks be a win for the Wallabies? But dream big!! Love seeing Georgia continue to rise. They are definitely one of the several countries that deserve regular competition with tier 1 teams. Should it have been a 20 min red card? Tough one because he is up in the air and once there how can he change his trajectory. I think a Yellow card is more in line with the accidental foul play which I wish would be the law. This is a clear case for why the 20 min red card needs to be instituted though. At least Australia didn't have to play with 14 the entire second half for this incident.
he cant change direction in the air, but the guideline is u cant be reckless and put yourself in the air with a leg up like that and hit someone in the head. so red card was correct but a bit unlucky. jordie barrett had a similar red card before
Very impressed with Georgia, amazed by how they did. Good to see some good competition. But as a wallabies fan it was slightly concerning. Good to see another win though
Let me just say this: shame on the Northern Hemisphere and the IRB for treating countries like Georgia and Romania like red headed stepchildren. Everytime Georgia does well, we all sit and talk about how good it is that a Tier 2 side pushed a Tier 1 side so hard, yadda yadda. Thing is, they've been knocking on that door for ages now and nobody is opening up. In the 2007 World Cup, with legendary talisman Merab Kvirikashvili, Georgia had their best world cup campaign ever. They trashed Namibia by thirty points and lost to Ireland by only four. We were all excited to see what they would do. Turns out, nothing. They just stuck to their Tier 2 leagues against Tier 2 teams. Outside of world cups, smaller teams simply don't get a sniff. Last year they beat Wales in Cardiff. Last week they beat Japan in Sendai. Two hours ago, they pushed two time world champions Australia really close to the edge in Sydney. When are we going to stop being awed by gutsy performances from the "minnows" and be outraged that they are not part of the Tier 1 Goldenbois? Why haven't they been playing for a spot in the 6 Nations? Why hasn't anyone given them a proper tour? For all the talk from World Rugby about branching the game out, how many more times does Georgia need to prove themselves worthy of dining at our table? Romania is another country I am quite angry about. They were hella strong in the 70's, racking up wins over France, Wales and Scotland - yes Im talking 1970's Wales and Scotland and they even pushed the All Blacks close. Come the 1995 World Cup, they pushed the hosts and eventual champions the Boks to the limit in a 21-8 losing effort. But were they able to build on this? No. Congratulations to Georgia for putting up a huge fight today. I will forever cheer for a team who seemingly have to justify why they belong around every bend and turn. Let's stop making rugby en Elite Boys club and give those knocking on the door the ability to step into our world and their their mettle.
its all about the money mate, the local domestic fans isnt enough to put them into the six nations with its massive tv rights and quality demands. they are thinking about kicking italy out cos of it. the problem is world rugby keep trying to pretend they care about things when they dont give a rats. Australia and NZ and been left to fend for ourselves. we are all struggling and WR dont give a rats
This is so true…. And what then happens is the Top 14 and proD2 dismantles the Georgian team every 4 years making sure that they can’t build apart from World Cup years… It’s time they had more matches against a tier 1 consistently…. And Portugal, Uruguay, Namibia, Chile, and Romania need the game time too
@@jaytronika At least we saw 3 of the Southern 4 play Tier 2 teams today, and NZ playing Fiji, who does a yo-yo between 1 and 2. I hope this becomes a yearly thing.
As a South African I was worried for the Wallabies at multiple stages in that game lets go Southern Hemisphere 💪🏼 Joe will get the wallabies on track soon
We were so ordinary - who are our best 9 and 10? Some pretty flat performances - Frost was good...couple of other decent players but overall not great. SA will cook us barring a miricle
Donalson didn't play well, but I don't think he should just be cut completely. We need to build depth within the sqaud. We have seen in super rugby what he can deliver he needs more time to settle in hes only had what, like 10 caps? This is why we struggle to fill positions as soon as someone has a bad game just bring in someone new and over and over the cycle continues.
Donaldson should not put on the gold jersey in the next 5 years. Darby Lancaster was also terrible. Keeping in mind this was half our B team. Also no way that was anything more than a 20 minute red card cause he actually touched the ball aswell
@@thepointofanameis231 i actually dont know how eddie jones thought he was the future we were building towards. That was way below test level from donaldson
You should slow down the "like" part of like comment subscribe. Or change it up a bit. Im a regular watcher, love the content, but i just watched the whole abs clip, exited, started this one and realised i didnt "like" the abs clip. Its not that im not willing too, it was a great break down, i just forget too. I need to be reminded. Like something that makes me go hey, click that button. Cause we forget. When i clicked on this vid i realised that "like click subscribe" comes off so silky smooth after the intro that it doesn't actually remind me to do so.
