The LUMO at-home anti-ageing handset combines radiofrequency, red and blue light therapy, electrical muscle stimulation and sonic vibration to bring the most frequently-used treatments together in one device.
As a journalist, I produce impartial product reviews and how tos and, in this video, I look at how the LUMO works and my early experience of treating my skin with this powerful system that requires careful use.

This is an honest comment. Posting it as the company doesn’t allow for honest reviews on their site, luckily RU-vid does. Just bought this lumo, cost £400, they also didn’t pay customs charges which cost an additional £106 in import fees. Box arrived, size of a large shoe box, inside the box is another box the size of a small toaster, inside that box is another box the size of a book, inside that box is a small bag, inside the bag is a small hand held device the size of a landline phone. They also sent me a Canadian plug despite selecting the option for a UK plug. So far they’ve managed to screw up logistics, electrical plug and have a ridiculous amount of unnecessary packaging but I’ll keep you all posted on an honest review of an honest review. Honesty seems to be watered down nowadays.

Thanks for your kind words! The problem with treating one half of the face is that signs of aging are often different on either side - and that increases with age, so it would be hard to do a direct comparison. My left side has considerably more signs of aging than my right for instance.

I'm so glad I found your video. I'm expecting my Limo any day. I've been using the Venus for almost a month now and like it. My question is, you said they say not to use it for more than 20 minutes a week and that it shuts off after 5 minutes. So, does that mean you can do 4, 5 minute treatments on the same area in 1 week?
@thehonestchannel
@thehonestchannel 2 года назад
Hi. Hope you enjoy using your Lumo and that you see fast results: ) I will put your question to the makers and come right back to you.
@thehonestchannel
@thehonestchannel 2 года назад
Hi. Just got this back from EvenSkyn in response to your question about frequency of use: Here are some of our recommendations, if this helps: Initial usage should be one session a week, for 5 to 8 minutes, per area, such as the face, neck, or décolletage. Total usage per week in most cases should be limited to 20 minutes. Once the first couple of once-a-week sessions are completed, you may start using the device twice a week, however, both sessions need to be equally spaced out temporally for best results. Note that allowing more time between sessions allows the skin to fully heal and regenerate. Also, collagen synthesis requires time, allowing for it to proceed unimpeded for a 5 to 7 day period after a session is highly recommended, especially if using the device at higher than level 3 intensity settings. Using high-quality skin products such as anti-aging peptide-based serums between sessions can help speed up collagen growth and skin tightening between sessions.

@thehonestchannel
@thehonestchannel Год назад
Yes, there are so many options out there. The general consensus from RU-vidrs around the Lumo seems to be positive but you have to factor in that it is uncomfortable to use. If you are looking to buy an RF device on its own please go with one of the better known brands like the Tripollar Stop. I have had had some reports of fat loss with at-home RF devices and recently published an interview around it which you might want to check out first.

It’s really expensive - so many of these devices are. Is that Australian dollars? It should be closer to $500 in the US. Hello Honest Channel, Considering this vlog was created two years ago I’m curious to know if the device still giving you great results and if the device is still operable. I have been doing some research on RF devices and trying to decide which gives the best result. I’m 59 years old and been blessed with great skin but have reach a time that my face and neck might need some help. A few wrinkles around the eyes some drooping around the side of my lips and the skin under my chin has loosen a bit. A bit concern about this device; some mixed reviews on the device and results. I’m very new to this type of treatments for the face and neck. Have you also use the Venus from this company and are you happy with the results as well? I’m excited to start this journey but my fear and concern are holding me back plus $$$ for these devices. I appreciate any feedback that you might advise?
