Hi there, great roundup of the Skins series. I have to agree about the Flux being a cool pistol. My wife goes shopping at a local discount store and it regularly stocks X-Shot stuff and as Mrs T knows I like them she'll pick blasters up for me. Currently I have 6 Flux including two Sonic versions plus I have the "Boom!" Dread. I like the Dread too as I own a very old yellow and blue X-Shot Excess TK-12 - this one has the rotating cylinders but also had a foam disk shooter on top of the muzzle (you open a flap and drop 4-5 disks in and as you fire your main dart you could also fire a disk). Thanks again.
Hey I appreciate you for watching! Figured it would be better to take them on all at once since I practically already had the whole series (Minus the Griefer which I had to order and test). Plus it saves me the pain of an 8 minute hate session of the Last Stand 😂
I agree about the 'Last Stand's quality control, but I also think people have set their expectations too high in general. It's amazing what you get for such low prices. Consider how the global events of the last few years have driven up prices of most things, including fuel and energy, meaning the costs involved in manufacturing have all increased too. From raw materials and energy, through to packaging and logistics. Yet for $5 you can get an attractive 80fps blaster and 8 darts on store shelves anywhere, or $15 for a lever action 8 shot shotgun with 16 quality darts. We're a spoiled bunch.
@@another3997 I definitely agree that we have been spoiled! XShot skins is honestly a really solid series and has brought us some absolutely amazing blasters. As a host, I find myself in the unique situation where I have to trust blasters to function well regardless of who’s using them. The Last Stand is both easy to understand and run, making it perfect for new players, it’s just unfortunate that it’s super fragile so having to trust others to use it is a daunting task…
@@joe-the-dinosaur Especially with their plan to erase elite and make N-Series their new ammo type. Like really? 20 years of progress erased! They basically just handed XShot the #1 spot in the blaster market on a silver platter...
@@LeonnSR5 Come back in 5 years and see if your predictions have come true. 😉 For years, people have been saying "Hasbro's Nerf will soon be dead". And years later those same people are still repeating the same thing because it hasn't happened. It was Hasbro that set the Elite dart as the standard size in the first place. X-Shot are great, I have several, but they are a cheaper brand, deliberately so... which is what you complain about here. As for Dartzone, they are not available GLOBALLY in any great numbers. DZ have a dozen or so, small, independent shops listed as stockists outside of the USA, mainly through (expensive) mail order. What good is that when you can walk into tens of thousands of stores globally and buy Nerf products off the shelf, or order them from hundreds of stockists on local Amazon and EBay? 🤔 Dartzone are not a competitor to anyone outside the USA, and a damn site more people live outside the USA than in it. 😂
