Hongqi literally translates to Red Flag in chinese (红旗), which of course relates to China’s flag being mainly red. The ‘red carpet’ on the bonnet is supposed to be like a red flag waving. It’s pronounced as “hong chi” instead of “hong key”. Hope this helps!

these, esp. the one with the sunroof and the 4 mikes, used in parades to inspect them, are great additions to your model collection, BUT to compare these Pieces of Shit (mechanically and in terms of tech) to any Western cars, especially.. ROllses and Mercedeses, is really ludicrous.
