I was just fitted for hearing aids and as a demo, they gave me the Phonak Audeo Lumity 90's. I am buying the Phonak Infinios (90) but after this video, I am considering upgrading to the Phonak Sphere Infinios. Many thanks for this review!!! Cheers from Canada.
Phonak Lumity 90s currently. I wasn't liking them until I got a new audiologist at the VA. She has been doing a fine job working with me and making them work better for me. BTW, you completely got the drop on Dr. Cliff...
Thank you for this straightforward review of Phonak's newest technological update. I wear Phonak Audeo Lumity L90 and use their Roger device when in noisy environments or at conferences.
I’m wearing a Signia T IX 7, but am also thinking about purchasing a Phonak Audeo Lumity 90. The Phonak Sphere Infinios are too big for behind my ears, since I’m wearing glasses.
Currently wearing Phonak L90-RLs with active vents and titanium c-shells (VA took care of me). Also work in Audiology as a civilian. Thanks for flushing this out in a review with specific information.
just got the resound nexia a couple weeks ago for my first hearing aid and I have been having some issue with a chirping feedback noise whenever higher pitched noises are around, no matter how well the hearing aid was fitted and it would be random. Some days were really bad and some weren't. So I was looking around for different brands and with your video from about a month ago I noticed you seemed to talk really highly of phonak so I went to look up a more in-depth review and found this video, such perfect timing lmao. Definitely going in and asking about this one because i am still 3 weeks within my trial. Thanks!
Thanks for the video I'm always excited for a new chip and the Autosense 6.0 sounds awesome. I hope this comes with more access for users to make more advanced adjustments and tuning by themselves beyond what we currently have in the app on the physical side, I'm glad they finally gave the Virto R Infinio in ear hearing aids a modern design. I can see myself giving them a try. With the recent trend of sleek modern earbuds, it's about time hearing aids got cooler designs instead of the old plastic skin color. I know some users prefer them to be discreet with skin like colors, but there are others like me who prefer a modern look instead again thanks so much for sharing this video, and looking forward for those feedback from your patients
HI, thanks for the video, can't wait for the review. On the blutooth front I confess I am disappointed but I am in a rather unique situation as I'm totally blind. I love hearing aids that use the iPhone bluetooth low energy setting. This is because the delay from this protocol is hardly noticeable and when I use a screen reader, it means there is no pause between me touching the phone and the reader talking to me. Phonaks older standard of bluetooth means this will unfortunately still exist. Any word on battery life for these models yet?
Went to an audiologist and recommending Phonak Audéo Lumity L90 -R or Oticon Intent 1 miniRite. As I do pretty much calls with my Samsung I tend to go for the Phonak. Worth waiting the Audéo Infinio as they are not available yet with my audiologist?
I am currently wearing mold-type Phonax hearing aids. I want to try the Infinio Spere hearing aids. Buying Phonax is a great deal cheaper online. Can I trust these different online hearing places?
i have Phonak Cros and they are great. I have had fewer problems with these rearing aids in the past two years that I have owned them than any other brand that I have used.
Phonak L90's - very interesting news to see the latest tech release from Phonak with AI and Bluetooth connectivity improvements. Looks like another market leading product from Phonak. I just love the connectivity options from Phonak BT. Great review and first to market with the video!
Had my first hearing evaluation yesterday at the VA hospital by a PHD audiologist. I have tinnitus and a gradual high frequency roll off starting at around 4K. I was told that I will be given Phonak hearing aids but the model hasn't been determined yet. I am a music lover and audiophile and would like to know if it's even possible to achieve a flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20Khz with a hearing aid? And which Phonak model would be best for us music nuts?
Hey MK! Thanks for sharing! It’s all about the programming! Check this out, Matthew: Improve YOUR Experience with Music: These are the BEST Hearing Aid Music Settings for Music Lovers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5h_v9JBRvEw.html
I was also a long time Widex user for over 20 years. Switched to Phonak with the Paradise line just about 3 years ago. Planning to upgrade to Infinio Sphere in the near future.
Very exciting information! I have been wearing HA for too many years. Since my age-related loss was worsening, I now have a newer pair and do wear them full time. My go-to is Costco, of course price and customer service are wonderful in my store. I wear the JABRA Enhance Pro 20 which I believe is Resound? They work like many good HAs, but a newer technology that Phonak is offering with AI and better speach clarity would totally enhance my lifestyle. I will be waiting on further information.
So glad I waited for BT LE to be widely available. It seems the best options are being released now. I have been using infant-sized open tips for 20 years and they are still mad uncomfortable. This time I’m doing custom tips and that’s that. Having tiny ears really sucks.
@@meric12131415 seriously… tried Etymotic IEMs and was a total (painful) failure. Audiologist who fit my first aids jaw dropped when she had to pull out her infant/toddler sizes to get me fitted
I currently alternate between Phonak Lyrics and Signia AX7s. Lyrics provide superior directional capability taking advantage of pinna, Will Phonak's 3D modeling of the ear allow their Virto to match the Lyric?
Just ordered the Infinio R 70 (non sphere). My first hearing aid. I work in medical care, very interested in stethoscope use (I will probably get the Littman bluetooth 'scope). Also interested in Roger microphone.
@@Jack-mu4iv I would say neither one is "good" but in my experience my P90's are better than the M90's were. I sometimes use a Phonak PartnerMic but even that has limitations.
Thanks Matthew another great video and yes you beat Dr cliff to it. Very informative and looking forward to trying next year. Be interesting to see how they preform in noise and to getting your thoughts on it in the near future. Currently wear Phonak Lumity and like a lot. Look forward to all your videos, never a rant, Dr C sends out too much irrelevant content for me.
Thanks for the video. I am interested in the new Phonak Virto Infinio. Are they waterproof, too? I am a person doing a lot of sports. I use Phonak at the moment. Thanks again
Iif the virto r has the same tech as the RIC model, would it be worth trying it instead of custom mold for the RIC model? Does infinio have a telecoil?
I'm wearing Phonak custom hearing aids that are 7+ years old. I have been waiting for the release of a new platform so this is pretty exciting news. Also question. How does this this new platform handle my own voice. In past hearing aids, my own voice sounded unnatural. Thanks for your videos.
Fitted yesterday with Phonak infinie I70. Not impressed while listening to music…should I upgrade to the I90…or something completely different altogether? What is the best hearing aid for music listening?
Is your audiologist experienced in programming hearing aids for music? It’s the aud not the aid… Matthew (check out my video on music and hearing aids)
I have Profound hearing loss. In your experience which of the major brands should I pursue? Currently 3 year old Oticon, tried new Intent, felt it fell down in certain major areas so now looking for other options to pursue.
Phonak Brio 2 for seven years bought from Costco. Brilliant device for streaming. Also have a Virto Titanium P90 for 2 years. Looking for new Bluetooth enabled device.
Love your vids! Are the L90 features such as Speech in Loud Noise, SpeechSensor, and Speech Enhancer compatible with unilateral fittings or are two HAs required for any of these diff features to work? Getting the Virto R Infinio but not sure if in L90 is worth it with only one HA and just go with L70. Appreciate the advice!
Im using the Phonak Paradise. Trialed the Lumity Life when my aids were sent in for a battery replacement and they were incredibly uncomfortable and painful on me. They are bigger than the Paradise and simply didnt work, which was very disappointing. Are these new ones the same size as the Life ones, or smaller like their other ones? I also trialed the Resound Nexia and was hugely disappointed. It would not hold the Bluetooth connection, and would reset its settings constantly, so even it you managed to properly set it up with your android device, the day after it no longer worked.
Have worn Phonak Audèo Paradise devices for three years now - in 2 weeks I’m being fitted for a trial of the Phonak Infinio Sphere. I expect to be impressed although, as Cliff Olsen points out elsewhere, they are pretty large hearing aids and I may be less than impressed by the battery life if I use the Sphere program a lot.
Phonak Pararise 90. Great hearing aids.. I still struggle in noise situation.. ( had it for 2 years.. ) I have moderate hearing loss, in the past I worn ITE now wearing behind aids it's a big different and change for me.. ( as they don't make Cros for ITE just wish they did) I would be curious to know if this latest aid make Cros ITE down the track, as I know they have Behind the Ear one for Cros.
Can you please give me an idea of how much the Sphere Infinio costs, and how the battery life compares to the Lumpy 90, which is what I presently have.
I am wearing Phonak audeo marvel 70. I have been waiting for phonak to add bluetooth LE and auracast. I am a bit disappointed with Infinio not having LE today and having such short battery life when using all the new features. I wear my aids 15-16 hours per day, with at least 4 hours of streaming.
¿Cual es el tiempo de uso de la batería recargable?; este siempre ha sido la gran falencia de sonova , debido al uso del BT clásico; en esta nueva plataforma de cuánto será el uso?
Phonak Lumity 90. Do you happen to know which LAN phones that can be streamed to these hearing aids? I am able to stream Bluetooth from my cellphone, tablet, and laptop but I have not found a LAN line phone that would work with my hearing aides. I thank you for your help.
I prefer whatever is best for the patient in front of me. If background noise is an issue then these aids may well be the solution. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Just got my new Oticon intent1 and CROS over Phonak because of the battery life issues and CROS was not as good a Oticon I might switch over tho since I love the sound , but I use my phone a lot and my hearing aid dies before the CROS are theses out yet I am in my 45 day trail to get a rerun I want to try these
@@HearingTracker Well 7 days weren't long enough no adjustments could be made speech clarity is my main problem... I found the background noise way too loud, and the noise reduction program helped a little. I'm waiting for an Audiologist to tell me about new Phonaks... I am in Australia, and I have tinnitus.
Lumity life 90, my audeo marvels stop working a few months ago so I get a new pair but to be honest I was hopping to keep the Marvels until October and get the new generation. I’m happy with my lumity, but still wanting the newest ones. 😂
Year old phonak luminty with t coil, with open shut option. Regret not going with slimline or another brand. I don't see the slimline was updated. Do you realize phonak with battery almost twenty years ago were smaller and lighter than these? What beasts. They flap around, fall out when a telephone handset presses against them and fight for room with one's eyeglasses. Who needs t coil when you still have any analog hearing left? It ruins it. The in the ear would be nice if it was absolutely fully vented. But would they offer a trade in or trade up program for $7,000 product? I'm told no.
