I can tell you without reservations that your batteries will last considerably longer with out putting so much pressure on the drill... they really don't require you to "force" them down. Thanks for the comparison vid!
24v is a joke. That was a beat down. I have a 8" pistol bit and a millwalkie fuel gen 3. 6 ah battery. Did something like that a while back and got 24 holes in 24 inches of ice. Also had some snow and slush on top. Thats 575 inches of ice cut in 24 inches of ice. This 24 v did 330 inches in 15 inches.
I'm not getting the joke. 24v is plenty unless you're drilling holes for the family ice fishing derby . I have no use for a high capacity drill otherwise. 24v is awesome .. no joking around 😆
People need to stop pushing down on augers.. the blades are supposed to do the job if you have to forcefully push down your blades are dull and needs to be switched out.
just started ice fishing and debating between the milwaukee or dewalt dcd999...have you had any experience with the milwaukee? Trying to decide which one is better
As far as I can tell the 998 and 999 are about the same.they both get compared to the 996.i have a 6 inch mora hand auger with an adapter that I used last year with my old brushed 771.i did just order a 999 bare tool that I'll use with my 6ah 20v batteries.cant wait to try it out
It’s not really fine, they are drilled pretty close to each other which a truck would be able to crack through no problem, won’t freeze over night it’ll take a few a days for those holes to freeze up, that’s why driving vehicles on ice isn’t really ever safe..don’t listen to what one guy says or even what I say, if first time find a populated lake and follow pre made truck tracks..there’s no guarantees when driving on ice just semi educated decisions
@ Wisconsin life, I live here to and just got my 999, my Milwaukee never worked with any auger but it is now my wood working drill along with my Bauer. And the best part is you can up grade batteries if you wish. That's more then i can say for the China made Milwaukee's
