I recently got a 2016 Explorer Sport from Sheehy Ford in Marlow Heights, Maryland. This lady said it almost felt like luxury to her. I traded in a BMW 650i convertible for this truck and felt like I got more for my money. My truck is the same color and interior as the one she is test driving. Another thing she got right is that it is perfect for road trips. The stereo is great, the huge leather seats are good, suspension and feel of the truck is like luxury. The only downside I encountered is messing with the navigation system. I think the BMW was simpler, and I have to get used to the Ford nsync system.
@@FatBabyBB , it has the luxury appointments. Leather, ambient lighting, heating and cooled ventilated seats, navigation, satellite radio, lane sensor, big screen for navi, stereo, climate and bluetooth. Backup camera, sensors in the front and back. My last three cars were Acura RL, Mercedes S class and BMW 650i. This vehicle feels on par with them in the driver's seat. And lets not forget a V6 twin turbo engine. It is missing the bourgeois nameplate and the additional $30-80K price tag over what I paid. Not saying it is luxury, but it sure feels like it at the right price.
Great review. I actually looked at these when I was considering upgrading my grand cherokee. I ended up getting another Grand Cherokee. LOL. I like the ecoboost engines but at the end of the day, gas mileage wasn't really any better than the 5.7l hemi. + you know I prefer that hemi sound. I think you should follow this up with a review of the Durango R/T. Maybe a comparison video since they both have 3 rows.

I feel the need to point out that at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IB4G-iQ5908.html there is a common but not discounted or explained away misalignment with interior trim. Notice the Trim lines between the dash and the door. I would advise to point this out to the Salesperson. Also not accept delivery of a vehicle that has this misalignment(it's common in mass produced vehicles) on the vehicle you purchase.
Welcome to 2020. The new STs are basically 60k. They have the safety, technology, capability size and performance to command that type of price point. Best way to buy a sport is to find a used 2 year old low mileage for low to mid 30s, thats what I did.
My relatives just got one of these. It's essentially an oversized Taurus wagon. A nice car overall, but rather pricey. The back seats lack support when compared to previous models and the 3.5L Ecoboost, although fast, is a gas guzzler. They've been getting 12 MPG overall even while out on the highway with a light foot. Disappointing figures for an engine that's advertised to save one on fuel when it does the exact opposite.

My relatives only currently have under 1,000 miles on their new Explorer Sport and the dealer told them to drive it more in order to improve mileage. It has been up and down the highway a couple of times already with minimal improvement to their MPG. They also drive with a light to medium foot too. Recently found out that these new unibody Explorers lack a "low range" mode as well. Regardless, it's still a nice upgrade for them. Wouldn't trust the new one off road, though, when compared to the previous vehicle it replaced, which was a body on frame '03 Explorer. The old one has a better frame, higher ground clearance and tires suited for those conditions.
