I bought it but ended up taking it back because I read that the night cream has xylitol in it. I have 2 dogs & xylitol is deadly. I have never heard of it in skin care but it apparently is being used more & more in skin care. It’s disappointing but I will stick to other products that don’t have xylitol in it.
Thank you so much for revealing that this product has xylitol. I have a grandog that I adore and she sleeps with me when I visit my daughter and son-in-law and I would never use anything with xylitol because it is highly toxic and can be deadly to dogs. thank you so much for revealing this. I do like this product but I will not use it when I am visiting my daughter and son-in-law and around my precious grandog.
I absolutely love the Honey Hydration set and have already stocked up - I'm really hoping this at least becomes an annual seasonal thing but I'd prefer for it to be a new permanent product. I'm stocking up on the pumpkin overnight mask, too, because layering that over the honey night cream = the most amazing skin ever the next morning. Thanks for this review Katie!
Very thorough review. I also have the Farmacy moisturizer and they were similar but not the same. I didn’t like the extra fragrance in the TJ one at all. It also felt more greasy/oily then the Farmacy. Good substitution if you can’t afford the original and a cute gift, but I probably won’t repurchase the TJ one.
Hi @KateHespe Just a heads up to you. It is well known that spf in make up does not provide sufficient protection. You simply aren’t putting enough of the product on your skin to get the spf you need for your face. And I don’t think you put it in your ears, neck and chest which you should be doing. Please find a sunscreen that you like and use it. Look up how much you should wear to get the adequate protection. Skin cancer is no joke! I’m commenting because you said you get your sun protection from your cc cream and what you did is not enough.

I love most of Trader Joe's skincare products. I don't know if this particular comparison will be that accurate since the Farmacy brand is a combo of day and night so it probably has something in it to make it more moisturizing. Also, you said it was thicker so that would make sense for a night cream. I would definitely purchase the TJ's one as I think most of their dupes are excellent!
Hi Katie, thanks for the video comparing the products. BTW, I heard the Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm (get it Ulta) is very similar to the Green Clean (which is my go-to as well). Have you tried that? I still have half of my large jar of Green Clean but will try the Clean It Zero when I can.

Hi Katie!!! Love your channel! As an esthetician I find this very interesting great experiment! I actually saw a slight difference right away on your face the pharmacy brand it tightened your skin especially around the eyes and it definitely had a glow brightening! Did you list your products or is in in your Amazon favorites?🥰
I was sad to see that the night cream has isopropyl myristate as one of the first ingredients. It’s not great for those of us who are acne prone. The day cream is 👌🏼if perhaps not as moisturizing as the Farmacy one. Great price and packaging!
I personally like the Trader Joe’s version better cuz the sweet honey scent is much stronger and I love and use Manuka honey in my everyday coffee and food!!

Have you tried TJ’s “hydrating gel moisturizer?” It’s supposed to be a dupe for Clinique moisture surge. TJ’s is $8.99 and Clinique’s is $60 for 2.5 oz. I’ve used both and I like both. Imho they’re similar but I do prefer Clinique’s moisture surge however, since I’m trying to save money, I’m going to pick up another of TJ’s hydrating gel moisturizer and if I’m lucky I’ll be able to scoop up the day/night set you reviewed here this morning! I’d like to grab a couple more for little Christmas gifts too!
Thanks Katie. I have sensitive combination skin too. Use Youth To The People and Krave but think I will give this TJ duo a try as it sounds like it might work for me.

I love this - I love both of them purchased them a couple of months ago went back to purchase them again and unfortunately they are not available or perhaps they are just out of stock. I hope it is the latter because I really love both day and night cream
Because of your haul when you bought this...I knew I had to try this. And omg.. I LOVE IT❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 My skin is SO dry. I'm forever trying to find my favorite moisturizer that is not sticky or tacky. And Katie..the night one really isnt sticky if you use it alone. I don't use the other stuff like you😂...and the night one is so softening! I really love the night one. I bought two sets but I better go back for more! You've gotten me addicted to soooo many things girl😂😂😂
Hi Katie! Thank you for the review. I went to Trader Joe’s this evening and purchased 2 sets. Both sides of your face looked hydrated during the day. But, Farmacy gave your face a nice glow and your skin looked plumper, that is worth the investment.
I love Farmacy and Youth to the People, too. I just picked up this duo at Trader Joe's without knowing you did this video! Also dry skin here and I am anxious to try this out.
You could see on the Farmacy side more dewiness and hydration. Hopehully my TJ will still have it. My store does not get much of the skincare stuff in. I am in Cincinnati Ohio.
I've been wanting to try this duo set since I first saw it on the TJs website, and even more so after your review. I was worried it was going to be sold out at my local store, but I got super lucky, and they got one more shipment in this week! I was able to pick it up during my grocery run this evening. I just did a face mask, applied my retinol and then the night cream. I'm excited to see how my skin looks on the morning with applying this specific night cream. And oh my goodness, the smell is amazing!! That rich honey scent after I applied the cream to my face is incredible. Thanks for the review and comparison!
Katie, thank you for the comparison! I’m into week 2 of using it and really like the result. I have dry skin and some wrinkles and it really plumps up my skin beautifully. The lines are still there but are far less noticeable.
If you like Farmacy, maybe give Farmhouse Fresh a try, they have fantastic cruelty free products and their profits fund their animal rescue and sanctuary. 🥰
Great review! My husband used to work for Farmacy Beauty so as soon as I saw these in the Bulletin it was a must try for me! I haven’t found it to be sticky at all, night or day cream, probably because I’m not layering. My skin is normal/dry and it’s not breaking out but I do think it could be clogging my pores a bit. All that being said, my face is as smooth as a babies bottom after a week of use. The scent is dreamy. ❤

Yes I agree with you and I do practice that normally. For the sake of this video however, I didn’t want the spf to give a false oily face. I really wanted to test the product and show what it’s like under makeup. I appreciate you mentioning this in the comments for others to read!

I bought the TJ duo but haven't tried it yet. Manuka honey is so good for us, internally and externally. Thank you, Katie, for doing this for us! A little suggestion to you. Since you have sensitive skin, you should use retinol over moisturizer. So apply your moisturizer first, then use retinol.
