this was such a great video to watch! not only to see your thoughts on the design but also to see how other designers tackled these briefs in their own individual ways to create something amazing!
I love your videos. Please continue doing the creative glow challenge, doing this videos reviewing the challenge and the logo design and redesign videos. Greetings from Brazil
I love the idea of the video, really like seeing other designers' perspective on different creative briefs and would like to soon participate in your challenges. One thing that came to my mind is about the Little Loves logo, I would personally make the stars look a bit "distort" if I may say so that they match the style of the slithly waved lines of the rainbow. Just a preference, not sure if it's relevent, because I'm new to the design world. (Please excuse any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language.)
Lol how did they manage to spell cocktail wrong! 😂 I really get what you mean about reducing the size of the rainbow to place more focus on the ‘Little Loves’
So I no longer do the creative glow challenge on ig but I sometimes get subscribers of the newsletter to send their designs in for me to review. This is exclusive to my newsletter subscribers though! You can join here: www.abiconnick.co.uk/newsletter
I might join Instagram just to do your challenges😅 But I love your videos! As someone currently studying learning graphic design, your videos have been really helpful and inspirational💛
I love this video!! You should definitely continue doing that! These past few weeks I was not able to take part at your challenges, but I'm ready for the next ones!
It's for sure a possibility, if you want to get involved best place to follow me is my Instagram, as I'll put it out on my stories asking for people to send work in x
All of the designs are looking so amazing. When I first saw the second one, the "lounge" remembered me of sun rays when they are bend like that. I don't know but that way the font style and arrangement seemed fitting to me :) Btw, I adore your channel content and your designs and ideas a lot. Very inspiring.
the plant company - i would add just a little more of the plant coming out of the wheelbarrow, as that part looks a bit sparse and i agree with you on using the fun original type face on that as well. the wheel barrow looks good though.
Abi, is there a chance you will do intrudaction to adobe ilustrator? That would be super helpful, I am good at photoshop but I dont understand ilustrator yet and you are so nice to watch and great at explaining things, I would 100% watch it!
Hi abi, love your videos and the idea of weekly challenges but bc i am only 12 i am not allowed insta so cant see them each week, could you maybe post them on youtube as well bc i love having a go at them on illustrator (my dads a graphic designer) thanks x
A simple ask here not that you'll not be busy: But if I took that P P logo and had the first P as a person and the second P offset at the middle of the "leg" of the first P to have it look like a person pushing a wheelbarrow... (Maybe with a tiny sprout in the "wheelbarrow" P as it were off of it anyway...) would that work?
Found your channel today & absolutely love it! Like that you break what you like about each design & giving positive feedback as well. I will definitely do some challenge to add more on my portfolio & hopefully I see mines on your channel. ❤😁
Thank you!! It was so fun going through them! So to participate: I put out weekly briefs on my Instagram and to get involved you can post them on Instagram or send your entry in my DM’s. If you’re posting on Instagram make sure you use #creativeglowchallenge in your post so I will be able to find it 💛
Cocktail briefing: I loved the second one, they used the same colors I had in mind and made a card with wonderful illustrations, though I really agree they could have used even a bit less of it leaving some space. Lovely logomark. I would have bought that design for my clocktail bar. Main logo I agree the "lounge" feels a bit strange there, but all in all I really liked it. The designer can be proud of it, truly! I also loved the idea of the third designer with the legs, sooo creative and original! I love it! Not so fond of the color combination though because of the gold. Green and pink are definitly a big yes for me too, they match so well together. First design: the logo is a bit too complicated in my opinion. A logo should be more simple and there was no reduction for other purposes. It was extremely elegant but also more classical than other examples for my personal taste. Please, they are all beautiful, I give just my personal opinion. I want to thank all the participants for giving me the opportunity to learn from each one of them so I can improve!
Hi,I have a a question. The planted pretty logo with the connecting d and u has a meaning but do you think people will take the time to read the description? No offence to the maker! I love the colour palette and fonts!
The second logo, where you said it looks like a bench and a table, I thought it looked like someone with their hands in the air, as if they were partying! It's so fascinating to see how people can design logos that can be interpreted in several ways to conform to the creative brief.
I think the brand called little love was great but the only thing I'd like to change is those stars.... maybe I'll draw them by just pencil tool rather than using the star shape...it will maybe suit more with that rainbow....love all other designs...💜
I learned soo soo much, thank you for reviewing these brands, you explain things so clearly and I finally learned how fonts make or break the logo and how to manipulate them! I am currently binge watching your videos, and learning a ton! Best wishes :)
I love this video! I joined your design challenges to practice my creativity and skills. It really helped me a lot specially the briefs because it pushes me to come up with designs that I never knew I can make. ✨
I joined RU-vid purely to sign up to your videos! I love how your feedback is so useful and constructive, I've learned so much!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and looking forward to perhaps taking part in your next challenge :)
@@abiconnick I really will! I've always loved all things design and after 10 years working in a totally different field, I'm going to transition into ux/ ui :) I'll swing by with my design for the next challenge !
