Honestly Vice City was one of my favorites, SA is a classic, 4 is great, 5 can be fun, but 3 was my absolute first GTA game and in my opinion was the funniest in terms of physics and AI behavior. I don't think I'll ever forget a game as good as this. Thanks for this man
The plot sometimes it's a little bit poor , but it is still a great game , full of fun , irony and such an original atmosphere...imagine how revolutionary and surprising was this game in 2001
I can agree with the story being relatively weak, though that brings to mind just how GTA3 is such a product of its time - dense stories in games were still in their infancy and practically exclusive to RPGs. GTA 3's storyline progression was similar to Zelda games, with characters sending the silent protagonist out on missions, and you, the player, fill in the protagonist's thoughts and comments in your head. It's amazing how video game storytelling really took off after GTA3. It might just be Rockstar's last game where the story served as just a reason why you're doing what you're doing, and not as an actual tale to be told. And despite its controversies, it seemed to help games as a medium grow fearless about telling stories that would actually appeal to adults. Sure, Planescape Torment and Silent Hill came before, but those were niche, and not something Jack Thompson could throw a fit about. GTA3 made way for so many great evolutions in game design, and storytelling is definitely one of them. Even if its own story is pretty dated and simple
Hopefully it gets a Mafia DE kind of treatment. But it seems unlikely as they have another remaster/remake on the way; GTA V EE Also, "You want a chainsaw, gringo?" and "It's no problem to kill you"
The first time I really played this game was in an iPad and man I struggled on that Espresso 2 Go mission I was clueless where to go due to the lack of map. After about 10 tries I managed to memorize the locations and finished the game but man it was stressful. Still, a great game regardless.
@@QFilmz well it's not my fault that I don't have any gaming consoles way back and the first GTA I ever played was Vice City...in an internet cafe in '03. I got to enjoy them regardless that's what's important.
I hope we get a remaster/remake. And some cool collectables. I just don't want a car for GTA online. Its 20 years...this game deserves something big. Its my favorite in the series and in my top 10 games of all time, and its probably #1 if I sat down to name them all.
I personally like to try and make my own money as best I can. Stocks, crypto, re-selling and currently planning on buying coin-op arcade machines to see if I can set them up somewhere for some extra passive income😂
It was a game changer. Not many game changing games exist. Mrs. PAC Man, Street Fighter II, FFVII, Super Mario Bro’s, Super Mario 64, Resident Evil, WoW, The Sims, and a few more that I can’t think of right now.
I like to tjink that gta III’s difficulty wasn’t even intentional. They were just fucking around with this new 3D engine and didn’t think about other stuff and made some stuff super difficult
Currently working on getting the platinum/ 100% for GTA 3. It’s been pretty smooth and fun so far! Only real pain in the ass was completing the paramedic side mission. I can see why people say it’s tedious to 100% but I enjoy exploring for hidden packages or doing the side mission stuff between story missions. It pads out the game nicely. I feel like I would finish the game in two sittings if I just went from story mission to story mission
I guess that's the benefit of getting all the hidden packages in the game. Same with Vice City and San Andreas, unless you date Barbara. That is, if you die, you can pick up weapons at your safehouse. Although in San Andreas, you only get a few weapons when doing the tags, so you gotta find the horseshoes to get the better weapons later. So you're better off just buying the weapons again until you date Barbara in that game.
Mission payouts are probably higher in this game because all the player's weapons are taken away after getting wasted... It's quicker to rearm with more game money?
When I completed gta 3 and checked player stats, I was surprised to find hospital visits to be 0, I guess I was really in the habit of just reloading a save after every mission fail or deatb
Its a bit of a rip off you played the vice city stories intro instead of grand theft auto lll's theme but what ever they definitely should port more rockstar games games on xbox one and series x
@@TheNathanNSI was referring to the outro actually but I guess it was intentional PlayStation three is truely the surpreme way to play rockstar games titles as you can play most PlayStation one games and PlayStation two games such as manhunt two and early versions of some games which were the best on PlayStation two such as bully and grand theft auto v online on ps3 as it has no hyper futuristic weapons shame it closed down but there still grand theft auto iv online theres tons of games I wish were on xbox compatability such as manhunt I would of bought a duke controller for that game also red dead revolver and the grand theft auto titles i'm surprised they never ported them to xbox one
How old? I've been using the same mic since 2018 lmao All I've done with that lately is try to make the place around me much more quieter so not much noise from outside etc
I just started playing this again a few days ago. I was like 7 when this came out and I played it a lot on my uncles PC although I didn’t understand alot of what was going on 🤣
Any chance you may do a retrospective of the 2D games, specifically GTA 2? I just beaten it for the first time this month and enjoyed every minute of it. It was fun but also challenging at times. Definitely an underrated game in the series, especially compared to the later titles in the series.
Gta vc has unlimited ammo and gta 4 it removes the 1,500 ammo max limit 😁 also on vice city stories you can buy your weapons back that was the final 3D era gta
@@TheNathanNS hey Nathan bro,are you going to make a video on dan housers new video game studio(Absurd ventures in games)Bully 2 could see the light of day now
GTA III was a ground breaking game when it came out, sure it doesn't hold up to later games but when I came out, that was the coolest game you could own. I have played this game multiple times, when I have only beat GTA 5 once because it doesn't have as much depth, it feels like R-Star rushed GTA 5 just to sell online gameplay.
@@mandalore1089 The only "depth" is online play. I'm not saying the GTA 5 wasn't fun. But there's no replay value. I have played the PS2 GTA titles multiple times. I haven't picked up GTA 5 after I beat it.
