1. By the Grace of God (Why is it so underrated? Katy’s most personal song ever!) 2. Unconditionally (Also so underrated. Deserves the same success as Firework) 3. Legendary Lovers (Should've been a single and would've been a hit if it had been!) Roar and Dark Horse are the iconic singles.
Personally, I think this is her best album. The first half is full of radio bops (Legendary Lovers, Walking On Air, and International Smile would've easily been radio hits if they were singles) and the second half is full of emotional deep cuts. It's really the perfect balance for me.
I agree. It’s so cohesive as well. Balancing between 70’s disco, 80’s dance, and a few 90’s elements, yet timeless enough that this 2013 creation doesn’t sound dated. This also lyrically seemed more reflective and narrative driven in a perfect balance between catchy, polished hooks and intellectually driven questions and answers that are asked and answered through an extremely mature headspace. If these albums were jackets, Katy definitely wears Prism the best.
Also it almost feels as if we’ve returned to the Prism era again. I hope that if Katy gives us another light oriented album, that it’s a lot more organic sounding and more stripped back. I believe if the lyrics can match that, we could have an album that outdoes prism and while I believe Smile is similar to prism, it to me just feels more commercially done and the least lyrically intellectual work yet. Yet what she did with Never Work White was incredible and went without enough recognition. That technically was the last song she has written that she has released because even though it preceded Smile, Smile had already been completed and was set for release 3 mo later.

Every Katycats like in the whole world: wanting so bad for Legendary Lovers and Walking On Air as a single. Me, in my personal opinion: wanting so bad for Double Rainbow and By The Grace Of God as a single. Love the vynils of Katy's album in the background. Love you guys. ❤️
it's really impressive to see an artist having two huge pop albums back to back, especially after an iconic album like TD . the genius split of the album into two acts the first one with the poppy and radio material songs, and the second one with more personal and vulnerable songs. It's not my fav Katy album but it is a solid album. My favs are unconditionally, birthday, walking on air and this moment.
Best Album Of Queen Katy Perry so far. For me, It's all of them. But!, in my opinion, One Of The Boys, Witness and Smile is the best for me. No skips for me. Full of BOPS. PERIOD! Can't wait of Katy's new song with 2 possible collaboration with the letters "A". My guesses is Adele and Ariana Grande. I hope that Katy'll collaborated with Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. Black Widow And it was written by Katy and it was for Prism but Katy took it out because she thought it was very much like Dark Horse, and gave it to Iggy. In Get on Your Kness she wrote Ari's verses, and she was going to sing those parts but didn't get to the high notes, but they're still in the song doing Vocals.
