HAHA! Great memories! I feel happy being remembered! As the bananaman - just to share - I'm really happy when people notice I'm a watermelon. Because I am. That was my online persona at the time, and the mask was made by my mom. (based on the actual fruit prototype in my profile pic). It was something I wore to make online pictures in a time of text-based message boards where revealing your face online was not a commonplace practice.
Woah! I was just thinking about the bananaman a few days ago :D I recall reading an article in TNP way back then where you mentioned you didn't actually meet the judges - the footage they used was from the audition with the crew or producers. And there was some hoo-ha about Ken faking his "Take off your mask" comment. I'm still amazed at the random things my brain remembers lol.
I had to pause soooo many times to prepare myself for the 2nd hand embarrassment... And I completely lost it at "ONCE AGAIN please do NOT adjust the volume of your TV." HAHAHA iconic compilation!!
I am genuinely wondering if some of these contestants had cognitive disabilties? Not trying to be rude, but some seemed like they had very little self-awareness and social skills.
i understand you're curious but it's rude to assume. i don't think you're specialised in cognitive disabilities either so you can't recognise these things just from a video.
@@thepriceofsalt9003 Meanwhile I've seen people would probably think I'm naive or immature if I don't draw such inferences because they might find them "so obvious", even though I'm concerned they might be jumping to conclusions or neglecting any biases or illusions that may be present

I think one thing we have to know about these reality shows is that the producers manipulate the contestants to think that they are btr than they may be so that the show is more interesting and the cash money rolls in. But yeh arghh the cringe
