Because of a viewer, I revisit my diagnosis of the 3-4 failure on his 4L60e. I still make mistakes too....

I've been following you for a while now. I have nothing but respect for a mechanic that can admit when they've made a mistake. You just keep doing what you do

Actually a 3/8 16 or 3/8 24 tap could be ground ..for only a small amount of cutting into the capcell dia. I know there are long taps as Reach.. It's not good to cut the case servo capcell internal diameter. I know I can make great Capcell removal tools ...I've not taken measurements yet. Internal dia. Of new capcell

Wholesale Tool in Michigan ...they had a shop downtown Indianapolis but it went under...they have mechanic and Machinist's tools and guages..they might have extra long drill taps...if not ABC TOOLS..should.. Granger's might.. Fastenal might extra long drill taps..

Wow... currently am making a servo capcell removal tool better. 3/8-16 stud.. But cut to sharp edge to cut as a Tap...also a center refief...cut in center...to flex while going inside capcell hole....I make a video. Just a simple hack saw...to cut center relief and a air grinder to cut a edge as a drill tap.. I seen a video Smitty . Am almost there am cleaning this case still then I renew the servo capcell.. 1995 60E My last one No 4

Hey Smitty, didn't you check that capsule when you rebuilt it? I could have sworn you did unless I'm thinking of a different one. Seldom do those go bad but it only takes one. Did you ever find where the capsule went?
@IrocinZ
@IrocinZ 2 года назад
On Cj's I did and it wasn't leaking. The one I showed you is a different one in a video coming up. I never did find out where that one went....

just found this video, and noticed you discussing the 3/4 shifting, I have a problem and can't find anyone else that has had it, I have a 700R4 in a '91 Z28 and it shifts fin manually but if I floor it driving also, it kicks down to 3rd no problem, but when it shifts it's like it goes to neutral, and I have to let off for it to shift, any clue to what may be happening?

Sounds like the TV valve is sticking...or the governor valve is sticking in the bore...
