Revisiting Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2023..

This story is hands down on of the best from a video game.

I love this piece of art. It touches me like no game ever has and doubt ever will. A towering achievement that is unlikely to be ever matched. I just wish there was an alternative happy ending. Staying in chapter 2 for my second playthrough but I have to move on as some challenges can't be done early on .... don't want to move to Lemoyne as that is where the decay of the gang begins ..... I am already getting sad about having to lose Arthur again.....

Just got this game for Christmas on the PC. Hands down the greatest game I have ever played. It's just on another level completely. Nothing I have ever played has had this much attention to detail, or polish... It truly is a pinnacle of human achievement. The other night, I got drunk irl, and it was coincidentally just after I'd brought Sean back to the camp. I was too drunk to actually play the game, so I just chilled in the camp with everybody. And... I had a genuinely immersive experience. It's an experience like in real life - where it can never be repeated, and it's going to be a life experience for me. It takes a very special game to be able to meld that line between reality and fantasy - and I can't really describe it, I guess because it's only just been discovered. But I felt like I was there... It didn't feel like a game, it genuinely felt like I was part of it. And I don't get immersed in games ever. I play them, I pass the time, complete them and move on. But here, I was just being - not playing a game, not procrastinating in real life. I was genuinely just, existing in this game, and it's something I've never felt before. This game is truly on another level. No pun intended. In 20 years, when they remaster this. I'll hope I'm still alive to experience it in added fidelity. Because it's going to be a true pinnacle of human achievement.

This is my favorite game of all time. I don't understand how some people don't like it, unless they just don't like realism. All the details, dialogues, secrets, it's hard to comprehend. The score is amazing. I've played it through 3 times and have had a completely different experience everytime I've played it. I still find out things I have never seen or heard of.

Bought the game a couple of days ago after wanting to get it for a long time and I'm just a couple missions away from the finale. It's been a great journey and I loved every single part of it. I can fairly say that this is my favourite game of all time. The story, the characters, the visuals, all the possibilities make this game a once in a lifetime experience that I'll never forget. Glad to see Hollow revisiting this masterpiece!

I feel a new RDR2 playthough coming on. Thanks Hollow!! I got rid of my console copy, but picked up the PC version during a Rockstar sale. I'm working with a 2080ti, i9-9900k, 32GB ram...not quite a 4090, but it still looks amazing when I bump the settings up!

I still play RDR2 at least once a day - finished it many times - either playing as John or starting over again as Arthur. Still discovering new things. Best game ever for me :)

I recently started playing it over starting about a month ago and specifically came to your channel last week hoping you had some recent RDR2 content and am sooo glad you happened to revisit it now!!!

You can meet some of the gang members in the epilogue. Pearson runs the shop in Rhodes, you can visit Eagle Flies at the train station in Annesburg. And you can visit the graves of Arthur and miss Grimahaw for an example. It makes the game feel complete you should try it out! ♥️

No open world ever been created that could touch my heart as much as RDR2. I can just wander around aimlessly.

Still trying to get 100% completion in the story mode. The gambling challenges and a couple others are near impossible.

This is still in (My Opinion) one of the best video games ever made. I wish they added the ability to decorate and customize John's house. I also wish they gave this game a new and improved rockstar editor. Even without out those things this game is near perfect to me.

Man, I got excited when you stumbled across the “zebra.” I was hoping you’d see it through to the end, and you delivered, my man! I missed this on my first play through, but on my second one, I killed the lion with Arthur. Fun stuff!

I have been playing games since the Atari 2600 i got back in 1980. I have played hundreds of games over the years from different consoles, ps1, ps2, ps3, ps4, nintendo, sega, Atari, intelevision, you get the point..lol And i gotta say RDR2 is by far the most immersive game i have ever played. Im on my second play through and im really taking my time checking out every location every shack and every side mission. I just spent a month on chapter 3 alone. Arthur Morgan is an amazing protagonist but, Sadie Adler is my favorite character, she is a beast. I hope they make RDR3. And have Sadie as the main protagonist.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolute masterpiece, the story is one of the most powerful ones I have ever seen in a game, Arthur Morgan is the best protagonist created by Rockstar Games, he has so much depth, you really feel like your on the journey with him throughout the game, the open world, man you could spend hours upon hours exploring the gorgeous world, no game since has come close to it in my opinion, even 4 years on the game still is a joy to play, Rockstar Games best game and my personal favorite game of all time, a timeless classic 👏👏👏👏

It is so so enjoyable to see this game in 2023. Love to see more side missions, epic fish and hunting scenes. And also, solve some misteries and collect different stufff.

Favorite game of all time is such an impossible question because there’s too many in the mix for their own specific reasons, one game I replayed recently and have a love for is Dying Light 1, Elden Ring is one of my favorites for sure, if we go into some older games I’d have to throw Ocarina of Time in the ring, also Guild Wars 1 is a classic

I believe this game might be the greatest ever created, right there next to The Witcher 3. I have always been a huge fan of the western era, 18th - early 19th century. I have never been through such an emotional experience playing a game. It took me nearly 3 years to complete the game because I never wanted it to end lol just because you uploaded this video makes me want to go start the game all over!

Red dead redemption 2 is one of my all time favorite games. Coincidentally I am currently on my second play through that l I started right after Christmas because I dislocated my shoulder snowboarding and had nothing to do while resting. This is my first time watching any of your videos after it just popped up on my feed and you definitely earned a new subscriber here. I discovered that at least at the point I’m at in my play through that in Saint Denis at the stable you can also purchase an Arabian horse that is black which I had never noticed before. For this new series you’re starting you should go back to one of my other all time favorite games and play Skyrim with very tasteful mods like the ones to make it more realistic as far as weather, adding cool side quests, etc.

Bro, if I had a 4090, too expensive atm, but if I did, I'd definitely max out RDR2 and play the CRAP out of it again! I have to say, I feel like Red Dead Redemption 2 is my favorite Story Driven game. NOTHING in my opinion comes close to RDR2 and its connection with characters.

Played rdr2 back in covid times 2020, still play it now. I remember seeing a video about it idk if it was you hollow or Typical Gamer. Either way the best game I think I’ve ever played and the best game ever . I don’t think anything compares it. The scenery, the characters, the gameplay,, animals, nature, the wild, the swamp, muddy towns, forests industrial towns/cities. There’s probably more. Everything is just perfect

God I've always loved these games. As much as R* irritates me with microtransactions & making things outrageously price in online play, they really know how to make awesome games. Red dead always will have a special place in my heart, especially because it was the 1 game my father even sort-of got into, even if he was only watching (he loved westerns). Playing RDR1 while floating down the river with Irish, pecking off people up on the cliff while my dad cheered me on. God, I miss him. Red dead is more like real life to me. It emphasizes that it doesnt always have a happy ending for folk. The Grand Theft Auto series is a beautiful lie, & the Red Dead series is an ugly truth. #ThankYouRockstarGames #ThankYouHollow
