E-169 Part Three of putting together the roadster has Derek fixing the quarter panel with the English wheel prior to installation on the drivers side. A couple of structural pieces are welded on the back of the door latches & roof frame brackets to give extra supports. The floor gets the sub-rail extension pieces tacked in and this moves the build along. More to come in Part Four.

Maybe the bottom piece from the stack or the outside of a new roll and worker loaded the best side in ? Really cool to see all new panels, almost a pity to use pigment on them.

Oh Derrick ------- It must be nice to build a body from new sheet metal ------ and not have to worry about the ---- Bottom of a quarter panel rotted away ----- maybe the bottom of the A or B pillar missing ----- or Reconstructing the floor pans or whatever it maybe --- Missing or Rotted away ------ I bet it is a real relief ---- For what most of us --- Dig Up --- and build -------- Curious here ---- I noticed you aren't really sealing / protecting the mating surfaces ---- whether primed or a solution to keep rust from forming between the two joining panels being assembled ------ I see a lot of surface rust beginning already ------ I think one would prep all the inside panels too ------ would think it would be easier now than later after being assembled -------- Anyway ----- really nice seeing a car / roadster being built with NEW Sheet Metal ------- Hope you and the Camera Lady have a Good Week ----- And Thanks Again ------ Rodney

This particular body was for a friend. When it left here it went to a body shop and was thoroughly cleaned and epoxy primed. If this were a car that would see the elements I would probably be using weld through primer as many have suggested but these cars will probably never see bad weather and be stored in heated garages. Still is not a bad idea to prep the surfaces before assembly.

She's coming along. Not sure if you mentioned it before but what's the combination engine/drivetrain for the '32?
