Man, you are one of the best people out there for getting an honest review, anyone that thinks any of those problems are acceptable to compete at the price range is out of their mind IMO. It has a ton of potential which I hope I show but out of the box its got a lot of issues like the X8 from TronXY that Isabella and I put together on the Community Build. I think its a TronXY issue

Eddie Moser the problem is they're both right it can be a great printer while the same time being a horrible printer the problem is they did not handle that replies correctly very unprofessionally being mean and nasty deserves nothing more than a delete so good on you for deleting those immature posters It looks like you handle reviews similar to how I handle reviews twice first I review what I received second like the Mythbusters I get the results and review that my overall review is determined by how difficult it was to get from the first one to the second one :-) and whether or not it was worth that effort to get to that end result both in time difficulty and cost Don't worry about the negative comments just keep doing what you're doing I love watching your videos

Depends on how you look at it. You can get an ok printer for under 300$ but you cant get a great printer for that kind of cash. but if you want a great printer and spend under 600$ it really is a great start and many of the ok printers for under 300$ is not as good base to start with. to some a printer is just the sum of it's parts and many cheap printers will need upgraded psu's and electronics anyway.
@nerys71
@nerys71 6 лет назад
Anders Strömqvist you can get a truly great printer for under $200. Ender 2. I have over 30 printers and it is without question so far the best printer i have ever toucbed.
@ThePhantazmya
@ThePhantazmya 6 лет назад
Anders It might be a good base to build on but honestly if you have to replace so many parts, wouldn't you be better off just building what you want from scratch? If you buy this kit it seems that half of your investment is straight up garbage. Any kit should work out of the box without tinkering and replacing half the parts. It's just bad business. If they wanted to sell a "good base" then they should cut the fat and market it as a shell that you put your own heatbed and extruder on for $100 less.
@andersstromqvist2211
@andersstromqvist2211 6 лет назад
I would not call that a great printer with those limitations. it may be great if you want to go pla only. but what i mean by great it should handel all materials poly carbon etc. Just from the spec sheet you can se that that machine is under powered wich is not a problem if you only want to print pla petg. But there will be nothing left of that machine if you want to extend it's properties.
@AndreGuerrieri
@AndreGuerrieri 5 лет назад
I believe your review is spot on. It is NOT a good machine out of the box. It's an excellent base for a killer printer if you properly upgrade it. I have one on order and I also have $200 worth of upgrades on order as well. So at around $530 USD, it will out perform A LOT of 3D printers on the market.

Oh this is great stuff, your explanation is simply spot on. To say these issues would be ok is just ridiculous. Thanks for being honest and critical where you should be critical! And btw; really don't focus on hateful comments, I mean, the positive majority always is silent.. this is RU-vid, haters never accomplished anything.

Love your reviews, as always. I got the TronXY X5S back in September after watching many reviews of it and other 3D printers. After watching many 3D printer RU-vidrs for almost a year, I was anxious to get started. And the one piece of advice I heard over and over was that if I wanted to really learn about 3D printing, I should start with a kit. The frame and dual Z-axis lead screws (as opposed to the X5) made this look like a solid printer. And it's the shortfalls of this printer that have taught me a LOT about 3D printing. Having to upgrade the parts to make it print better was what I wanted to do. As I wanted to add a BLTouch, and the firmware was not flashable, I got a different controller. Every shortfall of the printer was a learning experience, which has given me no end of enjoyment as I tune and tinker. A future upgrade is a 24V power supply for the heat bed. I thought it was both 12V and 24V, but that bit from this video really helps me understand the issue. The learning and tinkering never ends. Thank you.

As a point of information, your review helped me decide to order a TronXY X5S. I fully understand what I am getting into with this kit. This is my second printer (the first is a decent i3 clone). I can print the needed upgrades for belt-routing and frame alignment/stiffening. Will likely add an A/C heated bed, and replace the electronics - though in stages. There is an odd aspect of psychology when folk have to struggle a bit, they tend to become invested, and defensive/aggressive. Years ago this was DOS "power users" who claimed they would *never* use Windows. Designing a CoreXY printer, but got hung up trying to do something clever with Z-motion. Bothered by the fact I cannot work on later aspects. Can use the TronXY printer to go through the exercise with A/C heated bed, and perhaps the g2core software. So you helped. :) Update ... Largely satisfied after some upgrades: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2861239

Good to see others plotting the same roads I am. I'm very interested in this printer, since it's a larger corexy. Thanks for sharing your experience, and the link. I had an i3 clone that I brought up to the level of the likes of Prusa's genuine printers. I've been debating if I can do that again, or if this would be too cheap of a base to start from.

I've got mine last week, and they've changed a few things: - 12V heat bed - 5 minutes 20° to 60°, but the cabling gets HOT, and mine was missing a solder joint so only 2/3s heated up - better belt routing, including a second metal plate at the X carriage for belt mounting - metal mounting plates for the Z motors The file names on the SD card say "v2.02". But this printer definitely has its fanboys that behave like a**holes. Your review, with the stated target audience, was correct.

I actually thought bits of your initial review were biased but not to the point of the review being useless. That being said, in hindsight, I may have just been expecting too much from reviewers because I *thought* you gave up on the printer too easily, though that may have been warranted. With that out of the way, I think the initial review stands and all the pit falls mentioned in the initial review still hold true and anyone considering this printer as their first 3D printer should look elsewhere because out of the box, this printer seems horrible. I love tinkering with 3D printers but even that has a start and stopping point. It has limits; I expect any 3D printer I buy to at least print properly out of the box and assembled according to the supplied instructions. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't need to print like ultimaker quality parts out of the box or anything but it does need to print with no layer shifts and complete prints. I honestly ignore all positive points of a 3D printer in a review video because those don't tell me anything I wasn't already expecting when considering a 3D printer for purchase. "It was easy to assemble" imho, so is a custom water cooled gaming pc but that seems to be over some people's heads so that statement means nothing to me. "It bangs out quality prints out of the box" ok.. but I expect 3D printers to print quality parts from the get go.. that's like saying "white copy paper is white" or "this bike has round tires" as a good point, that just isn't a positive in my eyes; those are default expectations and reasonable expectations at that. I don't own an ultimaker, CR10, Prusa i3, or any of those other highly rated 3D printers because I've yet to see a bad review on them which makes me wonder what people aren't telling me. I'd sooner buy an Anet A8 over the CR10 simply because I know about the pitfalls of the anet a8 and close to nothing of the CR10. I did order a Tevo Tornado a couple days ago though because I saw a couple pretty bad reviews on it and none of the pitfalls are things I can't and aren't willing to overcome.

Frankly speaking almost bought this printer for it's build size and box type structure. But I think I would just rather reconfigure my cr10 in to a box type printer, where in the z axis is the bed going up a down, do you think this is possible? Thanks for being honest bro.

Hey man, i didn't see any hateful comments, but sorry to hear that you're so upset about it. Btw started printing on the Tonxy 5XSA, 40x40x40... not sure f X5S is the same. I had the same issue, but I found a way to address one of the issues you mentioned. The leveling was a pain when i found the hot tip is closer to the bed in the middle and further from the bed near the edges. I at first thought the bed was curved, but I found the problem. The left and right rods in the middle with the screw threaded pole are fastened so tight, its arching the aluminium frame. Once I loosen them, there was a stress release *clank. And when i did a leveling again, the hot tip moved relatively flat across the whole hotbed. I had to balance the tightening of the left and right middle rods as if its loose I will get rough surfaces.

People in the Tevo community are the same way. Mention to them at their printer has quality control problems and they go ape sh*t. The printer I got from Tevo as a piece of sh*t. With the amount of money I spent to get it printing just ok I could of bought a CR10S.

When you do a review, you have to give the good with the bad! I appreciate an unbiased opinion over "buy this!" "most awesome printer ever!" Thank you Joe for going back and putting the effort into getting this printer working properly, I stick by my opinion that I don't think for one second that it was intended for a first printer though and your original review bashed it too much for not being noob friendly. certainly turned out to be a pretty good printer in the end.

Never owned a 3D printer. For this past week, i have been watching and reading a lot of reviews. From me to you, I like your honnesty! I was dispointed when I saw you first review of this 3D printer because I was so pleased with a low price tag for a coreXY type 3D printer. Knowing all the problems, and knowing that there are solutions, I will problably buy this model knowing the risks. Thumbs up and thanks ! :)

Realizing this is a several-year old commentary, I want to say this is an "outstanding" report. I have this printer, sitting in the box, brand new, unbuilt, for several years, while I used my Creality Ender 5+ which has performed very nicely... meanwhile, my Creality Ender-4, sitting with a blown driver, newly outfitted and working with 10s mainboard, has now filled in for the h-bot, not corexy, smaller size models (replacing a Wanhao Duplicator 4)... and finally, I see that I can build the X5S, and with a few good, and needed, mods, have another, great, printer, ready to make parts. You commentary I find very uplifting, and soon I shall set to the X5S. Thanks!

How many others got caught the same way due to the nasty bar stewards who had a go because you spoke the truth. So, I am new to 3D printing and I got one of those. I've built it with like no problem but it is not printing. Absolutely spot-on. As I am typing this, my X5SA is printing a calibration cube behind me and now, after I did quite a couple upgrades on it, it seems to be working just spot-on. It was a great experience to do the upgrades, to get a SKR-board and configure everything exactly how I need it, but you need to be prepared for it. Just like you said, not a machine for a beginner at all.

your totally right this printer as base from store the bed will heat to 80 C but this is a very tinker type of printer means if u get it adjusted right u will have good prints now its cheap means with upgrades you can achieve more like upgrading the power supply and the power supply fan then the bed and the nozzle or extruder to fully metal to be able to reach 300+ C, note must squire the printer means better to print or buy corners to keep it squire so this is not a ready to print out of the box this is a limited type of prints out of the box but cheap and big size like 500*500*600 imagine 400 USD the print size 400 *400 * 400 add on it 200 USD upgrades and will have a great printer in the range of 600 to 700 USD

Thank you for giving an Honest Review of this printer. It is a CHEAP printer :), but it has Great potential, no the electronics are not good they suck, but we still Love it. Im New to 3d printing they told me I was crazy to get this printer, but I did , I learned Fast how to Rebuild a hotend, how to keep this printer from jamming, I lost two hotends, to jams in the screw pipe, bought new ones, rebuilt it and got no james for 20 prints, then I left the filament in the printer between prints and it jammed again in the same place. so I rebuilt my hotend a Second time. got it back working great, I ordered 4 more 40mm pipes and Steel nozzles. once i get the steel nozzles I will Rebuild the hotend better. I want to try out carbon fiber and nylon filaments. so again Thank you for the truthful reviev of the TRONXY X5S. She has issues out of the box but so much potential. keep making these great informative videos. Thank you Damian :)

Great review. Every 3 D printer that comes out all have room for improvements. Name any printer and there will be blogs and videos of upgrades. The manufacturing companies do a fairly good job getting a printer to the market at an affordable price. I agree with you on the power supply, it should have been matched with the hot bed. I am doing some research into Tronxy as I am looking to buy a Tronxy x5st-500 as I like the big build feature, 'go big or go home'.

Thanks for the reviews......it's one year later and I believe tronxy have improved on many of these issues, but not all. Having been looking for a 500mm + height core XY printer that could print flexibles, the minimum cost for non Chinese is going to be more than $3500 + 800 for an enclosure. So that is a big theoretical budget with which to address the issues with this printer, as far as I am concerned!

This is a good review. I watched the initial review as well, and I didn't find anything warranting the hateful responses. I have ordered this 3D printer, but I also like to tinker. I noticed right away the belt alignment issue. But I really like the idea of the dual Z feeds, but I have my reservations around the core-X-Y configuration. I wonder if layer shift could unintentionally happen if the XY gantry encountered places with more resistance. Meaning, resistance on the X axis would also effect/shift the Y axis movement. Personally, I hope you come back for a 3rd, post upgrade, review. Once it's fully tweaked and tinkered.

Thank you so much, as I was ready to buy this printer for one reason only: Print Size! This is going to be my first 3D printer, so, having just seen this video, you have prompted me to search for a lot more details, and potential expenses. Now of what I understand, is that I need a new 24V power supply, of which I found one, new pcbs? or alteration to 12v? I need to research this. This type of video is EXACTLY the type of thing I needed to view, as I would have been pulling my hair out and actually as you mentioned, put me off 3D printers - filament style, as I want to experement with various materials, and would have needed to save even more for a Laser or DLP, but are out of my budget range at the moment, but seems to be way better, but much smaller volume for printing :(

Glad to see that you are sticking to your honest review. This is just the information that I am looking for, since I have pretty much decided to go with the upgraded version of the Tronxy X5SA Pro. I already knew that this unit has some issues that need to be addressed, and that there are several upgrades that are recommended. The 2019 version seems to come with some of the upgrades you mention, and I believe it will be a great starting point. I just finished building a CNC router from scratch, which was a lot of work, and required quite a bit of adjusting to get everything working properly. Of course I'm already planning several modifications. So building a 3D printer will be a nice distraction. Pay no attention to the haters, your honesty ensures the reviews will be exactly other builders need to make informed decisions. Thanks for the great reviews, keep them coming!

Screw the haters, Joe! Even if someone makes a mistake, its no reason for uncivil, or rude behavior. No excuse for it! Most of us know your character and the quality of your content. Your initial assessment turns out to be absolutely correct. You said that you may as well spend a bit more money for a finished product than a hinky kit. Well, if after all of the discoveries about this printer, if it still takes over $200 (plus my valuable time) then you're talking about an initial gross capital expense of over $500. For that much, I can buy many excellent printers that AREN'T broken out of the box. (Personally, anyone who would embrace the concept of buying a crappy kit and spending more time and money to make it function doesn't understand the difference between price and value, or the relationship between time and money!) Sorry you had to endure this nonsense.

I appreciate the fact that you chose to do a followup video on the Tronxy X5S printer. As a person considering getting into 3D printing the reviews going from "This printer is the bee's knees" to your review which basically called the printer a pile of scrap metal, were confusing to say the least. I have noticed the same range of great to terrible reviews on other printers as well. One item lacking in all; reviews was a discussion regarding print accuracy. In my previous life as a mechanical engineer the Makerbot that we owned was used to make assembly jigs and fixtures where accuracy was more important than print quality. I guess what I would prefer to see in a review of a 3D printer would be: 1 performance "out of the box", 2 performance improvements with minimal, low dollar, modifications, and 3 maximum performance with unlimited (almost) modification. If that is beyond the scope of what you would prefer to do, so be it. Most of the review videos comment on at least one of the shortcomings of the X5S printer, and there are others offering relatively inexpensive solutions. Now there appears to be a new model, the X5SA which offers auto bed leveling and possibly more, hard to tell. I guess that a little confusion is typical of a new technology. I look forward to your review of the Tronxy X5SA

I for one completely respect honest reviews an wholeheartedly support you in your endeavor to provide them to the public whether they be good bad or ugly. Having bought my first 3d printer last year, a CR-10, I did a lot of research before purchasing and thankfully knew what the potential pitfalls were going in thanks to honest reviews. Had I not done that, I wouldn’t have been prepared for some of the common CR-10 issues and would most likely have given up. I know own 3 3d printers, all with pitfalls that I knew about before purchasing, and was completely prepared for them. Keep up the great honest reviews, they are truly a service to the community, I for one look forward to many more in the future, G’day from Aus.

Thanks for the review. I got X5SA Pro recently. Had few issues to get it working properly. Had quiet bad issue with bed leveling and stringing. But now it is printing pretty well. But I appreciate you definitely should review stuffs as out of box. I prefer to see the drawbacks of items than all the good stuffs. For that I can just watch printer advertising page like in gearbest nowadays. That is just crap. Honestly you really don't need to care who says what as long as you are honest. Just assembled my X5ST-500. My first 3D printer. Haven't been able to print on it yet. Having a few issues. When in manual mode when I press the X or Y buttons the head moves on both axis at the same time making the head move on a 45 degree angle, not straight on each axis. Maybe both motors are turning the same way instead of opposite?

You might be interested to know that I had similar experiences with my TROXY X5. Even after spending some time adjusting motor currents I found it did not work well. I have a HUGE laundry list of issues with it and parts they changed without my consent or knowledge (I even had to drill out a part because they changed it to a 3d printed part) to the Melzi not accepting any SD card I threw at it. Funny thing is I am in the majority for the issues I ran into but you would never know this from the RU-vid 3d channels due to them all wanting to not bite the hand that feeds them so give "biased" reviews so I have unsubbed every 3d channel due to it. Having said that I believe this printer has potential but in the end it is just a box of parts and will need a lot more parts to make it into something. Is it worth 270-290ish dollars? NO, absolutely not. Thank you for being way more honest than the butt kissers commonly known as "youtube reviewers".

Basically the same opinion i have on the CR-10/S. Utter piece of shit out of the box. Btw, if you didn't like the printer, why are you posting codes for it?

You are right, your review was spot on, bravo for telling the truth! For some strange reason I bought the TronXY X5SA Pro, and it is so far not a good experience. Seems that physically it is created very well, but support is horribly lacking. This could be a great printer if they actually added support to tell users how to use it properly. Barely any documentation, email support is not enough. Shifts during large prints. I'm left to basically figure it out on my own. Build videos all have questions. I asked for documentation on supported gcode and they needed me to open the power supply to send a picture of what board I have, then sent me firmware for me to decode. I can't even tell what flavor of gcode it uses so I can slice with other slicers, like Slic3R

3d printing has now gone mainstream with total haters entering the community. Sarcasm? Sure. But even them your about as straightforward as it gets... So deaf ears there. Your one of the key people to get me to buy this rabbit hole I call the cr-10s. To which my wife says... You actually found a hobby that interests you???

Well done Joe. The initial review was open and honest.....thats exactly what is needed, not lies and waffle. 300 bucks is a lot of money and people deserve to get a working printer out of the box for that kind of spend. So far ive had 2 300 bucks printer and both were dire out of the box. I felt conned and let down. If I’d spent 100 or even 150 then I’d have expected work and something not quite spot on but not 300! Again thank you for the honest review and please keep down that sir 👍👍

I don't understand why you got so much hate. The TronXY brand is really a tinkerers brand. I own a TronXY X1 and got it knowing fully well that it has to be modified to print properly. I've yet to see anyone who hasn't had to print *something* for their TronXY model to get it working right... Again, it's really disappointing that people get angry when their personal purchase hasn't been in some way "vindicated" or "justified" by someone on the internet that they don't even know. It's just mental.

Thanks Joe. I bought this printer partly on the basis of your previous review purely because I wanted a printer that is "OK" and that is a good starting point so that I could build a decent printer FROM it, not one that will work out of the box I want to tinker. This shows great promise once I upgrade it first to 24v and then all the other upgrades you (and others, because you are not alone in your views on this machine) have recommended. This is a work in progress kit and should be considered as that when you spend just over $200 for it, which is all I paid.

Have you ever used Tevo taruntula ....lots of first time users including buying it and.....what do u think of it are there better sub 250$ printers ...which alowes users to focus on creative work rather then upgrading and trouble shooting right from the first print.

Hi, you're absolutely right. I started with a 3d printer made of metal from scratch. With the learning that I have been seeing videos and forums, I learned a lot, I recognize that I still have a lot to learn. I have a coreXY and a prusa I3. I recently decided to buy a kit on the net. I was shocked by the quality, above all with the lack of mechanical quality, with regard to alignments and correct positioning of the parts to assemble. When I finish my research, I will post videos about all these problems I encountered, and the resolution.

How many people who buy this printer for the first time are going to know to tune the steppers. If you didn't know... how would the rest know. If Tronxy thinks untuned steppers is acceptable then they should include a multi-meter in the kit. I would know to check the steppers... I've built "The Beast" by Cultivate3d... it doesn't get much more nuts and bolts of a kit than that... and I'd still expect tuned steppers in the Tronxy kit. There is almost no chance my brother and nephew would figure that out on their own. It is sad when a printer manufacture needs the online community to save their bacon. That said... I suspect the X5 has great bones... for someone who this isn't their first rodeo.

Thanks for the honesty, Joe! As someone looking to purchase a first 3D printer, it would be extremely detrimental to me to watch a glowing review pandering to a company only to discover their product is a piece of garbage that requires more work than I am able to put into it as a brand new user. Keep doing what you are doing and disregard the ignorant people. I find your reviews to be VERY informative and helpful.

Respect for totally honest review. I’ve bought this printer, but the new x5st version. I know it has issues, they have actually resolved the belt alignment issue, but still could be better, they should just do away with the bearing and washer idler solution, and just pay a few pence more for a proper gt2 idler. Fortunately, I’m a printer engineer by trade, so not daunted at all by what needs doing to make this a superb unit. Already ordered corner brackets, don’t see the point of printing them when correct aluminium ones for 2020 profile are available. I hate Philips screws being used so have sourced Allen bolts to replace every one. Mine will be dual mosfet, dual psu and probably lots more mods before it ever makes a print.

I saw no issues with the way you reviewed it. If I got a printer with slipshod instructions, trudged though it, and wound up with a leaky nozzle and undervolted steppers, my first thought would be, "What is this piece of garbage?"

It was good that you shared your findings. . . Otherwise few people out there would have even thought about adjusting the motor current pot. In your previous review my first assumption would have been that you didn't adjust the belt tension evenly, thus causing the layer shift. Kudos!

During the 80s we used to get tribal over the 8-bit computers in which we spent a huge investment of time and money. During the 90s we used to get tribal over the operating systems During the 2000s we got tribal over our gaming systems and feature phones. Now we get tribal over 3D printers. I'm intrigued by this machine for some time. Dispite the fact that it needs replacing some lots of things to make it more reliable. I like the price and the form factor about it. Could you make a BOM list of parts that you have replaced or added to this printer? Just so i could compare with my shopping list. Thanks fo your meaningful content.

Thanks for being honest. I'm an animator modeler rigger, and want to start printing some of my character designs. I'm looking to buy my first 3d printer. I want to have the experience of building from a kit so I can better understand how the printer works. Your review helped , I think I will purchase this printer, but thanks to you , I'm going in to it with a bit more knowledge . Could you recommend a reliable source for the printer and for filament? Thanks again.

Wow - it sounds like the X5S is the "Anet A8" of the core xy printer kits. "Nice printer after you fix all of its warts". The angry emails were undeserved. I like your "out of the box" review because I know what I am getting into and can choose if I want to go through all of the fixes or look at a more user ready out of the box printer.

As to the 24 volt bed on a 12 volt system, I used the 12 volts from the controller board to close a solid state relay that in turn controls a 24 volt power supply connected to the bed. Got the 20 amp relay on eBay for around seven bucks. It switches the AC going to the power supply. The power supply is an old 24 volt battery charger I had laying around. I like this because the printer controller board is not having to handle the current for the bed so it runs much cooler. And all that ugly equipment is under the bench and out of sight. Thanks for the truthful review. It is a big help.

Hi, I recently got a tronxy x5s, it took me some time to build it and wire it but I like it so far, seems like a good start point, I’m new to 3d printing so I know little about it. I got it working and everything seem fine, when I was going to heat up the nozzle it stop working, I checked it and the onboard fuse blow up. I have been looking for information about this around the Internet, what fuse should I replace it with, I’m seeing if I could solder a external fuse, I’m thinking of doing mosfet boards to the bed and nozzle to be safe, should I try to repair it or should I get a different mainboard, something better and what would that be. Really like your video, I got this because I want to learn and do things myself, also because I don’t have a really big budget, but this seems like a good base. Thanks.

Careful Joe. While I agree the negative comments are undesirable. Deleting them and effectively censoring your comments section is a slippery slope! Let them rant and rave. Anybody with half a brain cell knows they are just simple minded fan boys who spew bile when their favorite printer gets a negative review. Stick to the facts, keep doing your thing and ignore the spineless keyboard warriors. My guess is you have better things to do. Cheers

Don't look at review´s anymore. Cause of way to many "best printer ever".. That is sponsored content whiteout being honest. We all know that many of "chinesium" printers out there. Has a lot of flaws. That needs to be fixed. So the cost of the printed is a lot more than the purchase prize. But ty for being honest.

Oh forgot to tell you, I have the upgraded version of the TRONXY X5S printer, the belt attachments on the carriage are now separated so the belts are now going straight , it also came with updated firmware Marlin 1.1.7. so the maker is listing to the community about the issues with this printer. I ordered mine straight from china, took over a week to get here. next we need to get them to change the power supply to 24v so it has the power it needs for the hotend and bed and stepper motors. Thank you Damian

Joe thank you for choosing to maintain your integrity despite criticism! I would unsubscribe if I thought any content creator was simply a Shill to keep Gearbest or any Manufacturer happy. There are too many "reviewers" on RU-vid that flat out lie to promote their channel and keep their supplier happy. If you want to hear that everything is all sunshine and rainbows go watch another channel. No need to give a guy a hard time for giving his honest opinion. The review clearly showed his reasons that brought him to that conclusion. The fact that Joe puts at least 100hrs onto a machine before a review is a considerable amount of time and it should make his experience more valuable to you.

So you did not do anything with the heat bed and print everything without heated bed? I bought one myself before your review and to be honest, I was lucky to get a decent machine from them. There are some tricky part when building the machine (aligning the belt, the build plate alignment on z axis, the frame structure), but I managed to print something out from it. I manage to get it running to print a 30 hour print and continue with another 20 hour print. The quality is not awesome as I didn't tune it properly. I have been planning a few upgrade for it but still don't have the time for it. Keep up with the good job on pure first hand opinion review!

I am amazed that someone would leave hate mail over you being honest. You would think it would be the opposite. It would be more understandable if people were to get mad at you for saying that it WAS the best thing since sliced bread when it is really a pile of garbage. Thank you for your honesty! Your channel is one of the ones that got me into 3D printing only a month or so ago and I am already looking into buying a second printer or doing a MAJOR overhaul of my Anet A8. Keep up the integrity and great videos!
