Revisiting Transformers: Armada Comics! (Dreamwave 2002)

Sarracini is in my view one of the lesser writers of transformers and this comic proves it. The start of the comic is great intro for the Armada, one the better point is the Mini-Cons, being Abel to speak in a way that we can understand, unlike the anime. I find that the comics introduction of Rad Carlos and Alexis grind the story to a near halt. having Human, Mini-cons, Autobots and Deceptions made the latter issues of Sarracini's run feel too clustered. Furman pulling the human characters into the background so to bring focus onto the conflict with the Mini-cons was for the better. On the art there was 2 points where it looked like Hot Shot had his optics dilated and one point where Megaton looked like he was at a rave.

I was about 30 when these came out. I LOVED them-they didn't see to be too "kiddie" for me at all
