Not sponsored, I just really like the coffee. And you get $25 off your first box. Its got some great undertones and a really smooth flavor. Made this whole video drinking a cup of Homeschool blend. You saw two of the little cups in the beginning.

Hey we have some exciting news! We are partnering up with MEP Guy to launch the most effective REVIT courses for MEP designers and engineers! Check out the Electrical course preview and sign up here: www.mepguy.com/electrical As a special bonus, we're offering a free download of an Electrical Clearance family that anyone can use to designate a "no fly" zone or clearance zone that must be maintained in front of electrical equipment. Drop it anywhere you need folks to keep clear of zappy things!

Great to hear. My firm has recently decided to get with the times and properly utilize Revit. I’m interested in the MEP bundle set I saw on the site. Do you offer this bundle as a corporate level user access or will we need to purchase individual seats? Individual seats would be difficult to manage so I would love to hear back from you and the MEP Guy 😊 thanks so much! -Eddie

Such a great Video! I will definitely use these going forward when the architect wants to see multiple layouts for my equipment. It would also be useful when you're thinking of multiple ways to lay out a room. I always have a couple ideas when I start. Funny because I was wondering the same thing about the options breaking my pipe. I figured it would work for electrical since the connections are "analytical" but I doubt it will work for piping. Great video and I learned a ton!

You’re videos are awesome!! Sooo helpful! I’ve been leaning the software for a few weeks now and I have a huge question…. Where do you get your families? I’m designing electrical systems and i can’t do any conduit. I’m trying to do some underground as I speak and I have pvc in and fittings but they are not together so they won’t connect. Anything will help!

So when you place your conduits, you need to Edit Type and specify fittings prior to placing the conduits. I realized I forgot to show that step because it was already set up in our template. As for families, we either ask our vendors for them if they’re savy enough, or we create them from scratch. I can usually get generators, panel boards, light fixtures, and switch gears right from the vendor these days. Otherwise you can check out BIM Objects for a bunch of free families.

Hello everyone ..how I can to create cable ???

sir my plan is using 3 phase so I set my distribution system to 3 phase (220 V 3wire) the problem is all of the lighting fixtures I used is display 1 pole and I cannot change it in edit family. so I use 220 single phase instead but it is actually 3 phase in real situation what can i do ?????? ty

Whoops, missed this comment by 5 months 😅 um anyways, you have to click on the Electrical Connector in the lighting family to change that to 3 poles. Once you get that updated, it will let you properly circuit the fixture to a 3 phase system. Ideally you would link the number of poles to a typed based parameter so you don’t have to edit the family to change it.

Is the bottom horizontal meeting 3 ft on either side code?

Anyway you can explain what you're taping and pushing while you're making the drawing for us rookies? 😨

Oh yea I have been trying to find a key logger that shows the keys I tap when I work. Pretty limited on what I can install on this computer so I might have to just learn to speak what I'm typing when I do a video. When working during the day, I use keyboard shortcuts 95% of the time. I only click on the ribbon when a keyboard shortcut is not available.
