Nice tutorial, thank you! (Meanwhile Archicad just does it all by it self for insulation layers. Nice one Autodesk.)

So many simple things we have to hack our way around 😅

Merci !

I tried it, and it was OK. 👌 quick notice, it's a bit heavy in comparison to regular insulation detail item. The new way is more flexible, useful and also heavier.

This has been on my chopping block for years! Thanks for doing the thinking for me 😂 have you considered using a line-based family? Any down sides to doing it that way you think?
@bimpure
@bimpure 8 месяцев назад
This family is quite similar to line-based family. I tend to prefer "regular" instead of line-based. More flexible.

finally!!

This family is a delight. There seems to be a problem in terms of performance when working with real world models though. Any particular reason?
@bimpure
@bimpure 7 месяцев назад
Nested arrays can be a bit slow. Good news it that the performance is only affected when you change the dimensions, the performance of the model itself is not negatively impacted.

Is it possible to show insulation in the wall core so when the wall thickness grows, the batt does too?
@imamburque

That is my question too.

Can we have a batt insulation as cut material inside live wall sections? I tried to make a draft pattern but it never centered in walls 😢
@bimpure
@bimpure 7 месяцев назад
Nah, it doesn't work as a pattern.
@imamburque

@@bimpure is there any way to have it as a material imbedded in the wall sections?
