Awesome video, thankyou 👍 Note: This can also be used for DJI Ronin gimbal batteries (I've revived a couple of packs for a Ronin-M) SDA, SCL and GND can be found as test pads on the BMS board, or from the outside with the connector block upwards and the connectors pointing toward you, the two largest ones, from left to right are + and - , followed by two recessed contact pads, top is SCL, bottom is SDA. These are based on the TI BQ30Z55 which you'll need to select in Battery Killer, otherwise you'll get errors. Update: Just used Battery Killer to revive a dead Ronin-S battery as well, what an amazing tool!

You think that is hard? Luckily, you don't have a handheld gimbal. there you have to take the battery pack apart and solder on the data wires.

Wow, it worked. Not quite as easy as yours, but it worked. I could unlock everything with the software, but when I exited and pushed the button on the battey, a single light would light for a few seconds then turn off. Pushing again would not start any lights. I tried it several times. So I tried to upgrade the firmware. It didn't complete, but the battery then had 2 lights lit solid. It would not charge. The lights just stayed lit. The charging hub would still have a red LED on it. From someone else's youtube video, I saw that if I used the DJI Assistant, it would detect that i had mismatched firmware. I ran that, and it FIXED IT! It's charging now. My batteries probably only have a few hours of flight time each, so happy this saved one of them.

We have stock of the board , but we unfortunately do not stock the adapter at all , you will just pin in the wires directly to the battery which is easy to do , and yes we supplier the board, the wiring and the software if you purchase a board from us.

I'm very excited to give this a go on my spark. I stopped using it for a long time, came back, and have 5 batteries that are dead. ^^; I'm about 99% sure it's due to an cell undervoltage situation. (I'm really familiar with BMS and lithium tech.) It's great to hear that there is an i2c bus connection on the battery connectors. I assumed I'd 100% have to use something like pogo pins or soldering on the board to clear it if the software existed..

Correct. Pin in and thats all, IF the cells are high enough for the BMS to be in an on state. If not, you would need to open the Spark battery and get the collective voltage up to at least 10.5v, then flag can be cleared. If its a cell undervolt trigger, and you are able to charge it back up and it balances and holds charge equally, thats a completely usable battery then. Thanks

Hey. Yes, you would need to solder the pin connector to the CP board. Fairly straight forward if you can solder a bit. If you need assistance, please send an email and we can respond with the layout of the pins.

Interesting that the cp2112 board is only made for certain batteries, let’s say you wanted to do this with a phantom 3 battery, is it possible in anyway?

Not with the CP2112 Boards that we know of , the problem is always the supporting software required along with the hardware

Hi, Just thought id give a bit of an update, I purchased a second CP2112 board and again connected it, ran up the software connected ok, read out the parameters ok, unseal 1 ok, unseal 2 ok, Clear PF ok, clear PF2 and again that same electronic burning smell from the board and no more comms,.. very strange, I will try a different type of comms module if I can fine one and get back if it works..

Check the back of the battery, I believe the nominal voltage is 17,3V ÷ 4 cells is 4.3 volts per cell

Hey. The link to the software is in the description. Unsure what you mean regarding the pins, the only pins needed are the GND ( Ground ), SMBC ( Clock ) and SMBD ( Data ). The "other" board would then use pins gnd, SCL ( clock ) and SDA ( Data ) accordingly. Let us know if you get stuck and we will gladly assist. Thanks

Hi. Yes you can, but requires a lot more fiddling etc, due to Arduino's extensive programming capabilities. The above is not just cheaper, but MUCH easier and faster. Thanks

did this on my mini 2 battery but got the message -ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0x00-. Before yoy say that the voltage is too low, i got the same error on a good and full battery. Switched the SCL and SDA as well, no result on the read.

Try putting the batteries in the hub for 30 seconds or so and try read again, sometimes the BMS boards need little voltage to wake the board up.

I have a DJI TB-48 battery (2) that are not charging. Never used actually, just sat in the case for a long time. Have bought the DJI Inspire 1 V2 Black and never flown it.

PF stands for "permanent failure " those errors can be removed and yes you are able to change the battery cycles if needed.

The pinouts for connection to the battery are shown at 5:48 INCLUDING Vcc, but in the out-of-focus shot at 6:35 the CP2112's Vcc pin is NOT connected (red wire hanging loose) - so which is it?

The CP2112 won't work with Mavic Pro 1 batteries , take a look through our vidoes you will see we specifically did a video on Mavic Pro Battery recovery , it's a little more involved with different software and tools required.

never update Dji mini 3 to latest firmware. Dji changed all the battery passwords so free software no longer works.

Hi, just thought you might like to know that I was just connected to my battery with your software and the CP2112 board, unfortunately when I hit clear PF2 it instantly shutdown my pc and having rebooted I cant connect to the battery, it was looking so good to, what a shame..

a lot of people getting problem with xiaomi fimi x8 se drone batteries and fimi does not help but making them to buy new battery. problem is: battery percentage gets sudden drop in the air like %40 to %0 and then bms flags the battery as "over-discharged". you cannot use the battery from that point. you can only charge it externally and see all cells are great. some people using these batteries with other drones and fly 20-25 minutes without problem but fimi x8 drone does not accept it because its over-discharged flagged. so we need to solve this problem somewhow like in this video. any thoughts?

I forgot to charge my Phantom 3 Pro batteries (DJI Originals) last year before storting for the winter. I just took my P3 out to check around our property for wasp nests, and both batteries are dead and won't take a charge. Is there any way to revive them? I really don't want to spend upwards of £200 for two new batteries if it can be helped.

So I got the board, hooked it up. First got SMBus failure 0x00, so hooked the battery charger. Everything was successful - both unseal buttons, and both Clear PF buttons. But when I exited, the battery button still does not light up, and if I put it on the charging hub, I still get the red light. Any other ideas?

Hi. We have managed to revive batteries that had 0 volts. These were fortunately in " hibernation ", so just giving it a little voltage kicked it out of 0 volts, and went straight up to the required voltage.

The problem is sending batteries back and forth via air freight is almost impossible as its a high risk item, so I don't think that would be an option unfortunately

Yes we will put out a vidoe on the Mavic Pro in the new year using the same board but with different software , we have just tried and tested it recently

I got the adapter board for Mavic 2 and the VCC was not connected so I soldered a pin to the end of the power connectors. No amount of trying with 4 batteries that had ust been left in storage over covid could get the program to read information. Always a ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0x00 . Tried pushing the battery button. Can you ust hook up a power supply say of 2 V and limit to 1 Amp and put that on the battery pins ? and how are they connected in the battery ? is it from left to right or from outside in ? That way I might get some charge in it battery by battery. Aparrently you do not need to connect VCC ? OR should I hookup an lab supply to GND and VCC at 3V and try again as all the batteries read 0 volts.

pulled top off the battery and the two accessible flat lugs from the battery read 3.6V what are they supposed to read do you know ? the next set down are 2.8 V

@@webuydronessa No I have not yet. I think I'll make a pin hole in the case and charge each cell to 3.8V, then try the program and adapter again . Trouble is there is a lot of fake crap out there in Chip land so I could just have a fake chip.

Does this help for mavic 2 swollen batteries? Only have 27cycles on the battery and noticed it started to swell

It does yes , but we would not recommend trying to revive swollen batteries , the risk of additional swelling in flight is 100% possible, it will result in the battery popping out during flight and the drone will crash 😳

Does anyone know how to diagnose a Dji Ronin M Battery Module 😥 I have a Dji Ronin M complete kit which was used twice only. Is there a bypass or a way I could use it with wired power ?
