It looks cool I remember when I had my 98 z71 on 44s 12 inch lift washing it was hell but unfortunately it got towed cause I had it parked at a family members house and being 15 at the time was hard to come up with enough money to get it out iam 16 now and trying to get another car
Alexander Moffitt ya like apparently if you neglect your vehicle it will still be able to start my definition of neglecting your vehicle is leaving in the field the floor is rotten out thing hasn’t started in decades let alone moved hell my truck has sat in the same spot rusting away with no battery or any fluids in anything
I thought I would drop you a quick note, if you want the truck to ride better and handle the extra weight and lift, you need to go with the 3 shock mount for the front end, 2 shock steering stabilizers and drag bars under the truck to help the driveshaft from to much movement, I have a 1995 Silverado with a 6” BDS lift and all of the extras and the truck is so stable, it rides straight down the road at 90 plus mph with no issues.
It would be pointless this isnt a work truck and a 454 sounds better. Also if you would go through all the troble to diesel swap might as well put in a good motor and get a 12valve
@@ricochetey 12 valves are gutless heavy motor's they make standalone harnesses for the duramax a LLY or a lbz swap would be wày better then a old as heavy gutless pile of shit 12 valve shit sounding Cummings
Your also ahead of the crowd because you have a 454 in it! My neighbor, the brainiac that he is put a 8 inch lift with 35s on a ford 2.7 EcoBoost and its litterly working its little ass off to even turn the tires! Lol! You should hear it. It sounds like its crying for help! Lol! I dont give it too long before it breaks! Lol!
Thats a nice truck. I agree with you on working on older trucks. I got a 93 stepside 4x4 im working on. Cant wait to see this channel grow. Keep up the good work.
PA Mountains yeah mine too. I’ve got a 97 extended cab 5 speed on 9” with a hoss of a built 4 bolt main vortec and a 99 classic with 160k original miles. It’s got the 4 bolt main,4l80e, and 14 bolt rear from the factory.
That's a good looking ride... Must have been tough to look at it sit for 9 months. Very unique. I have 2 k5 blazers i work on when i can. My 84 k5 has 454 and a stock 73 k5... And a 79 c10
@@mauiboy96768 he's right though. If you dont haul shit diesels are a waste of money. To each his own though, I just personally like gas trucks better.
My dad he have a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado single cab conversion truck is like blue green mixed in baige colored he buy it when it came out in year 1991
Smfh at the people saying this isnt a 2000. These 2500 crew cab 4 door short beds were only made in 1999 and 2000. I have a 99 that looks identical to this.
Because a big block and 35's gets you like 5-6 mpg. That beast eats gas like there no tomorrow. At least that's why mine has been parked. Lately my hmmwv gets more road time. She gets 19-25 mpg. Doesn't have the go the Silverado has, but she goes a lot further on way less fuel.
