Great tutorial! I bought this brush a few weeks ago after watching a lot of reviews of it. I have very wavy frizzy but also limp hair and I spend so much time styling it every day! When I have to wash it, I use the dyson dryer with a vent brush followed by straight iron per section that I then throw a big roller in! Its an ordeal. UnfortunateIy, I was not able to use this successfully from wet to dry but it is a lifesaver to finish my hair. Also, its saving me so much time every morning when I have to restyle my messy morning hair. So even though I don't use it to dry my hair, I am sold on it for styling it.

That is great that this worked out for you, I found the same that it really helped style my hair using one tool rather than a multitude....my routine is similar to your long ordeal too. I bought one for my Mom and she is also loving it because she has frizzy hair so has to dry, then straighten, then curl it and she said this is a lifesaver for her now too. Thanks for watching xoxo

Hello and Welcome!!!! I am just loving this tool and works great for this hairstyle. I am a little concerned though with damage so I am up'ing my deep conditioning treatments and might re-invest in an Olaplex treatment just to be safe. My hair is colour treated and dry already so don't need it to get any drier! Thank you for all the kind words and for watching xoxo

Thanks for the review! I wash my hair usually every other day and if I use the Revlon tool two or more times in the same week when I wash my hair, my hair does seem drier. So I try to only use it once a week to prevent damage. When I don’t use it I flat iron my hair. I know what you mean about flat ironing causing a more flat look but I cannot master the technique of using a round brush so that’s why I like this Revlon tool so much.
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 5 лет назад
Hmm interesting about your hair being drier when you use the tool, I am worried about that happening with me too. I definitely plan to up my deep conditioning treatments because my hair is already dry and damaged from colour treating it so don't need any extra damage. This definitely gives the look of a blow dry and a flat iron without the flatness for sure. When I use a round brush and blow dryer i definitely get more volume but isn't as smooth and right now am preferring the look of my hair using the Revlon so definitely need to do some damage control. Thanks for watching xoxo

Thank you! Ha ha yes it sounds like a jet engine for sure!!! I didn't time myself (darn, I should have!) but it was probably the same amount as my Dyson which is around 8-9 minutes. The time when I used my Dyson to first do an all over dry before I used the Revlon I would say it dried in about half that time but it wasn't as smooth so that is why I just use the Revlon for the entire procedure. Thanks for watching! xoxo

Thank you Justine, I just used my coupon and ordered this! Yay, so excited! My hair is long but fine, so hopefully it will still work fast for me too. It didn't take me long to figure out it and I have also bought one for my 71 year old Mom who absolutely loves it. I am sure you will love yours too, keep me posted!!! Justine .... I love your hair. My hair is the exact same style ... only it's really thick, coarse & frizzy. I just ordered the Revlon One Step and I sure hope I can do my hair as well as you do. What setting did you use to begin with and did you change settings? My hairdresser always has to reserve extra time to blow dry & straighten my hair ... so I hope this dryer will do the trick and save me time. Great video!
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 3 года назад
Thank you!!! My hair is very fine but apparently I have a lot of it. Mine too takes a long time to dry but I think that is because it is colour treated so I think it absorbs a lot of water (so I am told). I use my dryer on the highest setting, I know that probably isn't good but I find it dries it the fastest. I still absolutely LOVE this dryer however I do find that it damages my hair so now i only use it for special occasions and use my Dyson the majority of the time but still prefer the Revlon. I hope you enjoy yours!!!
@srfoxymom
@srfoxymom 3 года назад
@@justinelouise5534 ... thanks for your quick reply. How do you find that it damaged your hair? Do you think I would find that as well, if my hair is very thick, rather than fine? I go to the hairdresser about every 5 weeks (to colour my roots) so I would only be using the Revlon maybe twice a month. I can go a week to 10 days without washing my hair (I know that sounds gross) ... but that's how dry it is. It never looks oily. The plus about it being thick, is that when it's done, it keeps the style the whole time, even looks good when waking up. LOL I just picked up my new Revlon One Step. The box says New & Improved. Not sure what that means. It feels pretty heavy and it is pretty loud. But I'm excited to try it. Hope I can do it as good as you. Wish me luck!

@@srfoxymom I noticed a lot of breakage at the front of my hair (where I am most blonde) and since i stopped using it for a while it has grown back. Since you won't be blowdrying as often as I do (every third day for me) perhaps it won't damage your hair as much (also since you said you have thick hair too that might help). Mine is the original and not sure what new and improved means but maybe not as hot? I hope you enjoy it and get great results!!!!!

I am looking for a very smooth (sleek) and shiny results - Maybe i don't have the right technique. My hair is thick and wavy and I have a long bob. Should I use the high setting ? Should i do it on damp hair or on 60-70% dry hair. Please let me know.
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 4 года назад
Sorry for the late reply, for some reason this was in my spam folder???? Sorry to hear you aren't getting the results you are looking for. My hair isn't curly it is just frizzy so maybe that is the best type of hair for this dryer? I have used both the high setting as well as low and get the same results but on the high it dries faster. Do you do your hair in sections? I find that helps so you can focus on each area instead of trying to get too much hair onto the brush so it all doesn't smoothed. I have also pre-dried my hair with my regular dryer first but it didn't make much difference so now I just use this dryer on pretty wet hair. I hope this helps, good luck!!! xoxo

I am so tempted to head to Ulta today and snag this. It's $59.99 less $3.50 coupon. You dry your hair in almost the exact way I dry mine (similiar cut) by sectioning it off. Love how efficient the dryer seems to be! I so wish they had this in a travel version. It would save me from bringing my big round brush, travel dryer, and straightener. Concerned about the voltage and the ability to use converter plug in Europe.
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 5 лет назад
I just looked with a magnifying glass at the fine print and unfortunately this only works with 120 so won't work for Europe but might be something to think about for your Vegas trip? It is definitely more compact than your brush/dryer/straightener and probably lighter too! I am just loving this and yes very efficient and I know we have a similar hair cut so will be the same for you too. I am however very concerned about damage so am up'ing my deep conditioning and might re-invest in an Olaplex treatment just to be safe. My hair is dry and damaged enough from coloring and styling so don't need any further damage. Let me know if you end up getting it. xoxo

Regarding hair damage related to this tool... I haven't seen it. I have thick hair that's naturally very wavy and coarse, and I've been heavily highlighting my hair for years. I use high end shampoos and conditioners, along with high end heat protectants. No matter how high end the styling products and tools I used, my hair always felt soooo dry and coarse, and a little frizzy when using a traditional blow dryer and round brush. Since using the Revlon dryer volumizer, and I've used it on the high setting almost everyday for the last two months (once or twice a week, I just do dry shampoo), my hair is soooo much softer and smoother! And I've been using the same shampoo/conditioner, heat protectants, etc., so I know that the only thing that has changed and helped my hair has been this Revlon tool. It has been a game changer for me. The last time I went to my hairstylist, she even commented on how healthy my hair was. Of course, I can't speak to how the tool works for other hair types. Maybe it is damaging for fine hair. But it has definitely helped improve my hair so far.
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 5 лет назад
Wow that is great to hear!!! I have very fine hair so gets damaged very easily. I can tell my ends are a little crispy but I am due for a haircut pretty soon so they are always like that close to hair cut time. So far I haven't noticed much damage either but am careful with all the products I use with it and don't use it every day. I am still in love with mine too. i bought one for my Mom and going to give it to her either on Mothers Day or her Birthday which is right after and I can't wait to see what she thinks too. Thanks for watching xoxo

My experience has been the same for the past 2 months. I have very thick and curly hair but it’s not coarse. I only use the low setting because the high would melt the flesh off my scalp. I use a leave in conditioner as well as a heat protectant. I have my hair colored and I do not use a high End shampoo. I have not found it to be damaging. I live in the desert where it is extremely dry and it is hard to keep moisture in my hair but I haven’t found this tool to cause additional drying or other damage. I am very very happy with it.

@@SB7698 Good to know! So far mine has been pretty good too but am noticed my ends looking a little frazzled but I am also due for a haircut soon so that is pretty much the norm no matter what products/tools I am using. I am still LOVING my tool too, makes blowdrying/styling so much easier! thanks for sharing xoxo

@@justinelouise5534 I have weird hair. Curly underneath. Curly/wavy in the middle and top layers. And frizzy. This thing works great though. Once I’m done (and it’s quick) I don’t have to flatiron. My only negative is the noise! It’s loud!

No overseas, it's only 110 V, so at least in Europe it won't work. Thanks for your video! I love this tool, the only thing I don't love is that it's very loud. I only use the low heat and fond it already quite hot. But it's straightening and still keeping the volume at the roots! Great!

I know, I got Hubby to double check for me. I thought it would be great for travel because it is all in one, at least I can take it for North American trips. I know, it is crazy loud isn't it!!! It really is a fantastic little tool, my only concern is long term damage so I am trying to keep an eye on that. Thanks for watching xoxo

Now that you've have the Revlon for a bit, can you tell a difference in your hair being damaged or not? I have a lot of fine highlighted hair that is pretty healthy, but I don't want to damage it. The speed and volume of the Revlon appeals to me though....

I am still just in love with this dryer as when I first got it. I did notice a bit of dryness at first but I was also due for a haircut so could have been dry ends making my hair seem more dry. I have been making an extra effort to deep condition regularly and using lots of protectant prior to drying and so far so good!!!! Let me know if you decide to get one xoxo

I have this too and love it. My hair texture is fine and straight. When I used it on high a couple of times and it caused damage. Since then I’ve used it exclusively on the low setting with no issues. However, I dry my hair about 60-70% with a hair dryer before I use the tool to help prevent damage and think that helps. . Love the tool and how it adds volume!! Hope this helps.

Great Video...thank you. I’ve got one of these. There is NO WAY I can use this on the highest setting. It is just TOO HOT, even when moving quickly through the hair. I just use the medium and cool settings. The highest setting WILL be burning your hair, especially if you have fine hair. ALSO, it is alarming to see how much hair is in the brush after just one use. You don’t FEEL it pulling or breaking your hair, but it is...even if I use it carefully and gently. Will not give any bend to the hair, so it’s only ok for a straight blow dry. Hair doesn’t look as flat from the head as when straighteners are used.
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 5 лет назад
I think I should use it on the medium setting because I agree the hot setting is way too hot, it even burns my ears!!! I haven't noticed a lot of hair in the brush (well I do now because I have had it for about 2 months and it is hard to get out). I always comb conditioner through my hair in the shower and notice then that lots of my hair comes out so I think it is all out by the time i use the dryer? Yes I feel like it has more body then using a flat iron too, love it! Thanks for watching xoxo

I have quite thick hair, shoulder lenght. I have tried this tool, but I have to admit, I was very disappointed. I don't know why, but on me it just does not work! After using it, my hair looks frizzy, and it takes so much time to dry it. Honestly, blow drying my hair with an air dryer and a round brush is so much easier than using this thing.

I don’t understand why people with naturally straight hair don’t just air dry or go over with a blow dryer? So much easier and healthier than spending hours on “styling” your hair.
@justinelouise5534
@justinelouise5534 5 лет назад
If my hair was straight trust me I would let it air dry but because it is colour treated it goes all frizzy and crazy. That being said during the summer I do let it air dry from time to time just to give it a break and when I am on vacation and don't want to waste any of my vacation time fussing with my hair.
