I love my USA WR7. It is an extension of me. The pickups took a while to figure out how to draw the tone from them, but as I started to play the guitar easier and lighter I began to realize that this was the trick. The easier you play this monster the more work it does for you. It's the best guitar I've ever played, by a longshot.

Pitdog360 i know you didn't ask for any comments, but i honestly believe people should try floyds more often. There's tons of guitarists that make great use of that toy. Plus, it sounds more musical when used right

with a block installed it resonates the same way as a hard tail if thats a concern. oddly my guitars dont have huge difference other than the sound from the pickups really. That being said even same model/brand of pickup sometimes might have difference. i dont know if those pickups on the test are handwound too so they would definitely sound different. And if not i wouldnt bet that gibson makes the best pickups with their machines with their quality control to begin with. Theres so many variables. The difference in his guitars tones is huge so i bet they were handwound pickups and the guitars were different to begin with. as the one with the floyd has ebony fretboard and a wider neck so the guitars arent ''identical'' they could have completely different pickups on and that test would be invalid. Cant forget that the pickups height and string height would need to be exactly the same too...

Speaking from personal experience, nothing has made my guitar playing improve more than learning some music theory. It doesn't even have to be that much theory. After learning some absolute basics, there was a big difference in how I was playing and writing music.

I like what jackson has been doing with these artists. For me they bring stuff I want. Mahogany abnd reversed headstock. I would get this guitar if it came in 6 strings, unfortunately that is up to him to do or either jackson makes a warrior in the pro series range. With mahogany and reversed headstock

You can always just drop the high E and use 6 strings. works just fine I'm using a 7-string for drop B with the top string left off works great

I don't know why Jackson still have the pickup selector switch in such an awkward position on some of their guitars. Jeff Loomis also changed the position on his Kelly as the stock position is just so difficult to get to and makes it impossible to make quick pickup changes. If anyone at Jackson reads my comment, please change the positioning, it makes no sense having it in its current place.

@@thomasmims7850 Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I was talking about the stock guitars having their pickup selectors in a silly place, namely the Kelly. Loomis fixed the problem by changing its location.

As nice as this may look, I have already fallen into the pitfall of buying a Jackson Pro Series guitar that was also awesome on paper and in videos. That guitar (Misha Mansoor Pro Sig) was total ass.
