This figure tends to get a bit of hate for the cape. I doubt Kaiyodo will do that again, but in certain poses it looks the goods. The figure is superior in many ways to everything else out there. It can fold it's arms! How many figures can actually fold their flippin arms convincingly? Paint apps are boss also! This is obviously Darth Vader in his early days, with the lean physique. Nice video old man! :)
I don't know if this is really that accurate of a figure for Darth Vader.. He is not supposed to be very agile in his armor actually, according to the canon. But then again, this looks so cool !
I find this Vader to be one of the more accurate sculpt wise I know the cape is molded on, but is it possible to remove it with some hobby tools and replace it with a custom cloth one?
Huh. You managed to make this figure look better just through the simple poses you put him in. I thought this thing looked awful in photos from event display rooms. While I still don't like the cape, it's not too shabby, actually.
***** They demonstrate you can put this in all manner of crazy action poses but we don't "have to" do that. The simple stances work well with this figure too!
Got mine last week and am very very happy with it! I think is just a bit more interesting looking than the Mafex one coming out and better looking chest armour and helmet too. I think so anyway. If you haven't got the Samurai Darth Vader then go and get it! It is amazing!!!
Really nice review-thanks for doing this. One question though-is the cape removable? I think I may pick up either this one or the MAFEX one as a replacement for the Hasbro Vader....other than the cape,I think this one is PERFECT!
I heard this figure breaks apart easily.is this true? How's your figure doing? Really want to buy this but I'm a bit scared after seeing some people's figure falling appart
Very enlightening review. I wonder if the MAFEX Vader's arms, will fall off like they do on the Dark Knight figure. Excellent detail.but,I am VERY DISAPPOINTED by this fact.
hi there! I got a pair of revo vader and stortrooper but they have very loose joints. Do you know how could a fix or tighten them up? thank you in advance!
His legs look a little thin, but still a nice looking figure. How does he look next to the 6" black line? I do not like the 6" black series Darth, looking for a good replacement. I was thinking the Miracle Action Figure EX - MAFEX, but this one looks good too.
ok, know this line, they WONT be released out side of japan normaly, come on, how many stores out side of japan sell revoltecks on the shelfs, bearly any
This was my first revlotech and I'm just gonna say...I'm never getting another one again. Mine was so bad, his arm snapped off when I tried to move it forward. Plus, everything falls apart. I really hate the fact that his cape is the way it is. Play Arts Kai Variant Vader is light years away from this crap. I can say that because I own both.
