I finally watched it on Netflix, my girl who even LOVED Morbius, hated this garbage. The only thing I'd add is that the thing about Ezekiel reaching the diner first was probably planned, she knew he would be there so she replayed the events and figured waiting for him to arrive and running him over was the best scenario.
John, I literally grabbed a snack and sat very invested in your "rant" on Madame Web. 😂 I never saw the movie, but I love the way you describe it, it's like telling campfire stories!
the thing about the "script" is the movie is 90% ADR. remember the original script was Ezekiel trying to prevent the birth of spiderman but then they changed the focus to just the girls and overdubbed his lines. I am sure the Morbius writers original script was bad enough but then someone went in with a hatchet and made it even worse leaving us with the disjointed Pepsi advert you can hate watch today.
You know what you just reminded me of? I remember that one week before Morbius came out, there were reports that the trailers for Morbius were deceptive and that all the Spider-Man Easter eggs and references were removed from the final film including the Michael Keaton scenes. Back then, it was theorized that Sony saw how awful Morbius was and they removed all of that because they didn’t want such a horrible film to be part of their cinematic universe. I can see this being the same thing with Madame Web. They saw how horrible this movie was and removed every Spider-Man reference and plot presence because they didn’t want people to associate this film with their universe. Maybe that’s why during the marketing campaign, the filmmakers have referred to Madame Web being a standalone movie in a standalone universe.
I was paying well over $100 a month for cable (with a dvr). To be able to pick and choose (alacart) what service I want, no commercials, and having it instantly available is what we all wanted for a long time. Too expensive? Just pick the ones you want, binge, and the next month, pick a different one.
I went in to madam web with literally the lowest of the low expectations and because of that I was okay it was many as bad as I thought but it wasn’t decent either
I know they probably won't see this, but to Ray loves trench coats: Do it, you will not regret this move and realization. My entire family struggled with obesity, but I didn't until the pandemic and working from home. I went up to almost the 310s and after my father passed (14mos) and watching Ted Lasso....a light bulb clicked on. It's not about motivations or the goal. It's about the behavior. Find what works for you, and don't let it be gimmick or lose quick BS, really commit and start realistic and slow. I've lost 75lbs in 8mos. It isn't easy, but I was 308.8 and now I'm in the 230s and still going. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS!!! Your needs and cravings will change, you'll see a difference in your desires and needs, and I hope so much for you that this is your ENOUGH moment. All the support from another Campea viewer, you GOT this!
Seems to me that some may view this new DCU as a continuation of the DCEU, so if Superman tanks (it would have to be pretty bad at this point) Supergirl could be that Wonder Woman one-like franchise win, that keeps the hype up for the next few movies.
I beieve the people who hated the movie didnt watch it. It's was pretty good. I could see people getting confused with the flashes scenes. It's no where as bad people was saying.
It's a bad film, but not the worst movie ever made, or the worst movie made in the last year, or the worst comic book movie of the last year. Also was confused by the mid 2000s nostalgia they were going for, when they almost made no meaningful references to that time period.
I agree with your sentiments. It honestly wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It's still not a great movie and I saw the plot holes. Though, I kinda liked how they didn't overplay the time period schtick. There were some nods, like the Brittany Spears and the "You have a phone?" line. But yeah, it was a strange watch, but I think I was entertained. Lol
i saw madame web for myself and all i had to do to sit through it was go through a full bottle of henny, take two naps in between and I watched the second half of the film on mute. that being said, it’s still terrible
Its not the worst movie ever and i genuinely think it could have been great with better script and justa better story . But as it is this movie is poor just bad . I will probably watch this againat some point but only to make fun of it with freinds
I cannot speak for everyone but from my point of view, Madame Web is worse. Dragonball Evolution is horrible but it still feels like a movie while Madame Web cannot even be called a movie. Also the only reason one would consider Dragonball Evolution worse is if they’re a massive Dragonball fan that absolutely hated the movie. As someone who never actually watched Dragonball in my life, Dragonball Evolution never made me want to rip my eyes off.
@@juanluismendoza8655 those are very good points that you brought oh. However, I would also ask you near the end when you stated Dragon Ball Z fan couldn't just saying he said about Madame web fans and regards to the Madame web movie?
@@Nightcall411 The thing is were there any Madame Web fans to begin with? She’s a really obscure character that never actually had her own comic. If you compare her to Morbius, Morbius at least had his own comic book so I can see Morbius have his own fans before the movie came out.
@@juanluismendoza8655 that is also a good point but also let me point out is does that mean that a character doesn't have fans or they can't be called fans unless that character has their own comic books?
I think *as a person that has NOT yet watched Madame Web,* I am uniquely qualified to defend the points you made that were bothersome, @John Campea 😅 A. I can jump off a 6 foot wall safely, but if I land on my head I could crack my skull or break my neck; 100% falling from a window should worry him. B. The Peruvian Jungle Spider-folk clearly have abilities and a mystical understanding of what their spiders can do; while they don't have the abilities Cassandra Web would, the abilities they do have and history of empowering certain people made them versed enough in what powers she would have. C. Newspaper having their info in a few hours? Nah. We just missed what we were meant to view as time being conveyed for this to be the next day. Happens all the time in movies that people assume all happened in 2 hours or 2 days, but lasted a full week (of course, in editing or poor execution, a key visual or sentence may have missed conveying enough passage of time). D. Accurate descriptions from dreams leading to good sketches? These are prophetic dreams of a spider-powered human... the level to how accurately he could describe someone's nose bridge, eyebrow arches, lip thickness and slant, forehead protrusion, sinking of eye sockets, etc. is enough for an average police sketch artist to get it good, why not this person, who offscreen was an art major? The aged up version was... uhhh... a realy good guess?? 😅 I'm sure when (if) I watch this, ALL of those defending points will be obliterated, but for now: GREATEST MOVIE NOT SEEN, simply because it is the highest viewed right now on Netflix 😂😂😂😂😂 *[For anyone who didn't realize, I'm not actually defending this film]*
I have to give you some credit for all of your explanations :-) was hilarious but you’re probably voicing the perspective of the production team lol… Good work😂
Y’all make it sound like it was the worst movie in the world. I don’t like it that much but I’ve seen much much worse movies than this. Was it great? No. But it wasn’t end of the world bad like some folks made it out to be.
