Tata Motors Limited is opening its state of art Registered Vehicle Scrappage Facility in Chandigarh where you can scrap Passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands. The infrastructure is not only be complied with all rules of scrappage policy but will also be IT enabled for supply, demand and operation linkages.
2. The facility has been designed with help of a French consulting firm to bring best global standards in terms of SOPs, equipment, facility design, training and IT systems
3. It is designed in total 5 acres of land with ~35000sq.ft. shed area to de-pollute and dismantle passenger and commercial vehicles with total capacity of 15000 vehicles/year.
4.ELV sourcing portal for pricing, evaluation, de-registration, pipeline & logistics management and payment and 2nd system will be a DMS ( daily management system) to manage daily operations, inventory management and invoicing etc.
5.Vehicles will be assessed at the beginning and entries will be made in the system for parts which are to be resold/refurbish/remanufacture/recycle.
6.All parts will be bar coded for traceability, pricing and inventory management on dismantling lines.
7.To make sure that scraps are managed well and serration of material happens in a safe way.
8. It doesn’t just stop here, if you scrap your vehicle using the TATA Motors REWIRE facility, you also get certificates for deregistration and scrappage which can be used to avail financial benefits like on purchase of your next vehicle -
• Get discount on buying a new vehicle
• Zero registration fees for new vehicle purchase
• Scrap value equivalent of 4% to 6% of the ex-showroom price of the new vehicle
• Up to 25% and 15% rebate on road tax for personal and commercial vehicles, respectively.
