I took this flight in March 2021 soon after REX started flying on the busy SYD-MEL route. The REX service is low cost but covers the basics for this short 1hr flight.

Thanks, iFlyTheWorld. Enjoyed watching a couple of these new Rex review so far. As I'm no longer chasing status (at least for this year), I'll probably give them a go. That said, I sure hope Rex develops some sort of loyalty programme like the Big Two airlines. And though it would be nice to see their own distinct cabin finishes, I don't mind that they haven't changed VA's seat covers. Gotta save money somewhere!

Amazing video, tbh Rex should’ve changed the seat covers to make them more different to virgin

I suspect that REX wanted to spend as little as possible until they understood if the 737 venture lost them $$$ or they broke even.

Are you aware that the title says 787-800? Don't you mean 737-800?

If the war 1200 km from my city ( Berlin ) goes on i might consider flying to Australia and disappear in the Outback somewhere. Better poor and hard working than got killed by the red army.
