For anyone new ,Ken is the Duke of the Wet Shave, bringing authentic passion and enthusiasm to this little noticed art...Ken you have a full house, watch out for Jaws, Feather blades are a must in the den!
Congratulations on the 30K. Hope that’s enough so RU-vid pays you enough for all these products you demo. You handled that Feather like a pro. Hope you enjoy the movie your going to need a bigger boat.
Congratulations on 30,000. Yours was the 1st shave videos i watched. And your video oh 3yrs ago maybe using a store bought vander hagen is what got me into wet shaving. Keep em up 👍
I got my crystal skull a couple months ago on Amazon because of you ken. I also just got one of your coffee mugs from DSCosmetic. Thanks Ken! Your'e the Man. God Bless!
Congrats on 30K. Saw Jaws in the summer of 75 with some friends. Scared the crap out me as well. I didn't start thinking about sharks at the beach until I saw that movie, ugh. Had a shark encounter here in Florida when my daughter was about 10 years old. That was some experience.
Congrats on hitting 30 K Ken.! My first use with a Feather blade was shaving with a Dovo Shavette. I did cut myself. Surprise, Surprise, but I was fine and the following shaves. Used a Feather in my R41 for face and headshaves without a problem. Enjoy your weekend.
6:55 that was the exact reaction I was expecting given that you put a Feather in there haha. Great shave! Congrats on the 30K, and hope you enjoy the movie!
Great shave and congrats on 30k subs. I love those Feather blades as they’re very sharp and efficient to cut through my coarse hair that I struggle with so much. Have a good one!
Congrats on 30k! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😁👍🏼💈 I have an Envoy as well. One thing id be careful with is removing the blade. I always use a towel to loosen it up. I made the mistake one time taking the blade out with wet hands and even tho it has no overhang, my finger slipped on the side and i got a pretty good cut on my finger.
Yes!! I have a habit of just checking the tension of the handle between passes using fingers and thumb on the ends and giving the handle a tweak to check. With those rounded ends the razor spun in my fingers and could have been nasty! Luckily my fingers and thumb spun round the base plate or I would have been it trouble!! 😂😂. I too hold the head in a towel if I check the tension. High precision razor though and a bit scary on the first use. Best wishes, Dave.
"What a burn"...hahahaha. 30K subs, congrats Ken! Nice shave💈💈, the Envoy is a fixed version of the Ambassador adjusted to #3+/-, very efficient razor and of course the blade makes a difference. A light touch is all that is needed to get that baby smooth shave. The Pant Rei soap/splash looked good and the scent sounds nice. Enjoy the movie.
Oh man, I would *love* to see Jaws on the big screen. That movie scared the BEJEEZUS out of me as a kid. To this day whenever I hear that theme music, my feet magically pull themselves up onto whatever I'm sitting on. Because carpet sharks. 40+ years of psychological scarring courtesy of John Williams and Steven Spielberg. 😂
Great shave Ken, the Muhle R41 and feather blades used be my daily driver when I first started DE shaving, the envoy is my daily driver now, I like it cause it’s good for daily shaving and it has no problem tackling a few days of growth either 👍😊
I hope you enjoy the film Ken. I'm watching the TV series called "See" starring Jason Monma through my motv movie app that I Chromecast to TV with my mum. Great series.
Congrats on 30K subscribers. This week I have casually been using that combination (Envoy with Feather) and let me tell you, it has been the worst wet shave in my two years of shaving like this. With Astra blades it is better, but definitely, the Rex Envoy is not for me. Heavy, short handle, too much grip (yes, too much grip) and strange balance.I really tried to like it. Well, it's my 5 cent contribution. I currently have it on ebay in case anyone wants it.
Congratz with the 30K Ken. Oh do a video with your son and one with your Father -In -Law. HAHA i like you said since you left your shirt on you would be careful not to get shaving soap all over...what do you do splash soap all over . Great gun shave and video fun too. you left Shaving cream behind your earStay safe, cheers...Peter
Nice shave Ken and congrats on 30k subscribers! And rocking the feather too(no pre shave cream or oil?). Tried the feather in my P 99R as well as my M R41. They demand respect but man the shave is just mind-blowing fun! Jaws on the big screen must have been great enjoyment to 💈🎬
Just shaved after a 4+ month growth of a beard….. went with the hulk hogan stache. Felt good to shave again. What’s the feedback on the longevity of the scent of that aftershave? We talking PAA longevity? 4-6 hours?
Hi Ken. I have been watching your channel for awhile now. What all could I do to get a better n closer shave while wet shaving. I jus got into wet shaving. I'm using a gillete open comb razor and I use astra blades in my razor. Keep up with the great shaving videos. Cheers from ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Tried to get a safety razor today can't get them in Scotland the shops don't even have the blades I got a straight razor from the barber's with disposable blades but I'm afraid too use it
Feather's aren't any scarier than any other DE blade out there. They are all SHARP. A mistake with any one of them can bite you. I actually find the more aggressive razors work best with feather blades.
Hi Shon, I too find the Feather blades a bit harsh. I prefer Nacet, Vikings sword or "A Best". I bought 100 "A Best" blades by mistake....just clicked the wrong button!! (Duuh!) 😂😂. I had never heard of them and didn't hold out much hope. On trying them though I found them superb!! Sharp and very smooth....Swedish steel too!! Best wishes, Dave.
Hey Ken! I’m new to your channel and also new to safety razors 🪒…. I’m looking for a good starter set up that’s not necessarily cheap but good quality razor that will last me and the best blade to start with and is soap or crème better? Thanks any comments will help me figure out what direction to go in
