Tip: I know you know you should not put pressure but sometimes I can see you still are putting a little pressure. When shaving with the rex on aggressive settings or any aggressive razor, make sure you really just hold the razor against your face and let gravity do the work. That will save you from some of these nicks. The more aggressive the razor the more unforgiving to pressure and you really have to have the lightest of touches. Other tip: For areas that are difficult due to facial contours (like the chin), perform shorter strokes, this allows you to adjust each stroke to exactly the angle needed not to nick that area. I tend to do a couple strokes down from under the lip to the bottom of my chin (part that is flat) but stop short of the curve that connects the chin to below the jaw. Then I lift my head up, bullfrog it (the chin) and perform a couple strokes carefully readjusted to the curve of the chin. Video tip: While you still have the Rex, maybe do another comparison video with the Merkur Progress. (I know they are not in the same price range but still both adjustables). This will give an opportunity to the Progress to redeem itself. Love your videos, keep going ! PS: need the German word(s) of the day back in! (it's nice to learn a little bit everyday)

WOW many thanks for doing this comparisson video ! As always I enjoyd it very much and have learned from it. My opinion is that you always shave away from the nose ( both sides ), I believe it was kensurfs who has said it. Again, great video and many thanks and enjoy your flights :)

Always fun to compare two razors side by side. Fantastic job. I have seen on other shave guys videos that you are suppose to loosen the Fatboy and Slim before adjusting them and I do wonder if your not getting the full range on it because you adjust while it's closed. Just a thought. Always good to see how much fun you are having. Cheers

That’s why I love the fatboy, it’s usable on all settings and it’s very efficient, not taking anything away from the Rex, but from what other shavers said it is more aggressive. The Merkur Futur is another beast that is probably more aggressive than the Rex. Another excellent video Heiko, your channel is quickly growing and I look forward to more videos.

Definitely I won't ever purchase a Rex Ambassador, the dial adjust levels are too aggressive in my opinion. Matt should release a "Lite" less aggressive edition, just like Blackland Blackbird did, but I doubt that happens. That safety razor would be perfect if the levels were similar to the Rockwell 6S.
