A barrel clean often helps Turkish rifles but those pointy pellets I wouldn't bother with. The one I had like JSB 8.44, h&N 8 and QYS but as mentioned before I swapped it in for a hw100.

I have a pretensis and have had no accuracy problems - it is not pellet fussy buy really loves JSB heavy 10.34 grain, pellet on pellet. Also qys both types group very well

I am surprised the shop gave you pointed pellets for the test. Diabolo are much more accurate. Like all Turkish barrels, they need a good barrel clean to get the best out of them. Apart from pointed pellets, the Reximex barrels aren't to pellet fussy. If using H&N FTT, H&N Baracuda 8, H&N Baracuda Match, or JSB pellets, this rifle can shoot as well as Air Arms or any top end rifle. Change the pellet and see the difference. When you get your next Turkish rifle, or any other rifle, clean the barrel first, and after 30 shots of leading in, watch the groups tighten. Stay clear of pointed pellets. H&N Terminator, H&N Hunter, and JSB Preditor Pollymag, I have found, seem to be the only non diabolo pellets that group well on a regular basis. As manny have said the barrel needs cleaning as they are heavily lined with anti corrosive oils. Mine took 15 patches of pull through and its bang on pellet in pellet with qys streamlined 8.48 4.5 pellets and H&N ftt.

Good review, try QYS or Baracuda 8 pellets and you should get very tight groups! I get about 15mm groups at 25mts.

Yeah, needed something other than pointed pellets, which I've never seen shoot good out of any gun. The rest of your review was good, if you were keeping it, I'd suggest slightly loosening the stock from receiver as all the DAR based Turkish guns (DAR, JTS Airacuda, Reximex, etc.) have a known issue with pinching mags. Amongst other issues. Not the best $500ish dollar gun out of the box, but if you're handy, and like the idea of a 1/3 to half priced HW100 look alike...

I have the exact same rifle, laser accuracy with Jsb heavies .177.... pellet on pellet at 50m definitely need to run a diffent pellets before giving a review really

Why on earth would you ‘review’ a gun & use pointed pellets for target shooting!

I have this very gun in 1.77 and it’s deadly accurate infact laser like. Mine absolutely loves smk spitfire 7.1 grains domed extremely impressed. Don’t knock these guns my friends uses the Reximex Lyra and he swears by its performance

If I were you I I would try another one because you I believe have a dud . Many persons that shoot at our Airgun club have them and absolutely love them . Easy cocking and loading amazing smooth loading probably better than my Weilrauch he 110 this is a very poor example and contrary to everyone I have spoken to . You must be very unlucky or just be very very anti Reximex .
