I'm assuming it was a cost factor - for the end part opening and the dial-turning. Adding any more complexity to one of them probably would have driven the cost up.
@FN-1701AgentGodzillaRangerPrime Ω honestly, probably just laziness. I love Disney, but I'm sure they knew it would sell without putting in the extra effort.
It’s so nice to see Kitra (...and Peter, too...) just SO happy holding and just thoroughly enjoying the craftmanship of the lightsaber! My daughter is seriously into collecting deluxe Harry Potter wands, so I TOTALLY can understand what these mean to you guys!
That’s amazing to see that saber up close, the end scene in rise of skywalker made me tear up and I’m not ashamed to say it 😂 have a great day everyone.
Just a fun fact, Peter said Rey’s saber was “inspired” by her staff but wasn’t actually made FROM the staff. BUT she actually DID build her saber using the pieces from her actual staff. It wasn’t simply “inspired” by the quarter staff. It literally is part of her quarter staff. That’s confirmed in the Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection book:) I’m so happy that Kitra finally got the saber! I can’t wait to get it soon! It’s a gorgeous hilt! Love you guys!
@@OrdinaryAdventures Now, that I’m not sure of. I haven’t heard that from him! I double checked though in the book while watching just to make sure I read it right. This is the excerpt: “Rey builds her lightsaber using pieces from a familiar weapon; the quarterstaff she carried while living as a junk scavenger on Jakku. The staff, which Rey carried slung around her back while not in use, acted as an effective deterrent against wild animals and loot thieves, until Rey diversified her stock of weapons by adding a lightsaber in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi...” Then it just describes the look of the hilt and the blade’s color. But yeah, I wasn’t trying to pull a fact check or anything on you 😂 It’s just a super cool detail for her character and I wanted to make sure you guys knew! :)
I love that Peter is all about the Loungefly and wallet! He's explained all the detail about the lights! If I were there, he would have talked me into buying it!!
I was here at batuu East the morning it released and as I bought it cast members were stopping by to see it for the first time. Awesome experience that happened by accident
I just wanted to say thanks for everything guys during the pandemic your videos were great to keep me occupied and I'm finally have been getting back to Disney. Here is a tip though use a real clock on a phone to show when the clock hits 7 exactly I get boarding groups in the 1-10 every time.
So cool! I can’t believe how fast you edit these videos Kitra!! Please make sure you always pace yourself and don’t overload yourself. But we are all grateful for all that both of you do 😊❤️
Rey’s lightsaber looks absolutely RAD!!!! Definitely another one that I want to pick up. Kitra, Rey is one of my favorites too!! I actually wrote my senior college capstone on the women of Star Wars and focused on Rey, Leia, Ahsoka, and Padmé!!
That saber looks nice. Guess that's on my list of things to buy when we go this fall. Quick question, is the sound similar to a Savi's saber with a yellow crystal in it?
I also agree with Kitra, you gotta go full dorky or nothing at all. What ever it is you do you gotta own it 100% no second guessing. Life's too short to not enjoy yourself. Give no cares to what anyone might think or say cause it dont matter. All that matters is that you are happy!
Peter and Kitra, I just wanna say that I really appreciate the amount of time you take to make your awesome videos. You guys are my absolute favorite Disneyland RU-vidrs! (Timtracker is still my favorite for disneyworld...sorry haha)
Thank you guys for the tips about parking and for actually reserving a bg at the second half of the day (i actually asked for these on the last stream).
Can I just say the budget for this had to be so high. Everything there exceeded my expectations by a long shot and it was worth sitting in the Florida heat for hours on end. I also picked up 2 new lightsabers as some souvenirs. Definitely recommend for a Star Wars fan. It’s as close as we are going to get to being in Star Wars. But regardless it was phenomenal and was the highlight of my trip despite going to all the Disney parks and universal. It was even better than the velocicoaster. 10/10 would recommend.
I absolutely love audibles. I have trouble sleeping and it comes in so handy. I just listen to Last Chance Texaco by Rickie Lee Jones three times it was so amazing. Awesome sponsor.
This had so much dork love! An can’t go wrong with that! An so happy that you got your two Legacy Lightsabers that you been wanting Kitra all within a week! Rey should have been there since day one of Galaxy Edge or at least when Rise came out.
💯 glad it finally got a release though. I’m guessing they held it because of the secrecy of the film production and they didn’t start working in the legacy saber until around the time of releases
@@OrdinaryAdventures there isn’t too many Legacy lightsabers that I would like to get. But Leia and Rise Rey’s are two of the few that would like to get. An both look phenomenal.
Many third party saber makers will use a single RGB led to make a yellow blade, usually by mixing red and green, this saber looks like they might have tuned it a little too much to green
My life changed when I realized that kid's t-shirt size L or XL mostly fit me! I agree with you, they got the best clothes! About rey's lightsaber, it's really nice, I was only disapointed that it was not a double bladed one.
Hello hello Kitra and Peter. I have watched all your videos and i'm never dissapointed. Yall are amazing people who seem to express the same amount of excitement as we FANS. When i saw the title, I was gutted simply because i too love Rey's Lightsaber, as most of us do but couldn't get my hands on one...but i am stoked to have witness you getting one. Keep up the good work and i'm looking forward to seeing the next video. Kia Ora from Aotearoa - New Zealand.
@@OrdinaryAdventures That's a brilliant idea, now who can I persuade 🤔🤔🤔 hmmm...may have to hunt a smuggler down perhaps. Thankyou for the heads up team. Bright Suns...
I do love Reys character too, just not how she was developed. Actually I feel that way with almost every character. Poor Fin. That Saber is really cool. Congrats.
Hello Peter and Kitra, I parked at the Anaheim hotel today and my feet thank you. Many blessings to you and yours, I love your channel, thank you for being yourself and sharing your light with us. Love you !!!!
Rey’s lightsaber is beautiful. I’ve been waiting for it, but holding out for the new passes to get in. I hope they’re still there. Thanks for another fun vlog.
All these lightsaber releases I really want to build one and start collecting... Love the Rey and the duo box loved that it had played music. Happy you got the bag super cute 🥰
I would give all what I have, just to get a lightsaber from Disneyland or Disney World! This stuff is soo cool! Thanks Kitra and Peter for this amazing video and may the force be with you..always!
You're actually right about the prop, the color on Leia's lightsaber is spot on. But none the less I plan on buying the Leia's legacy lightsaber during summer, I unfortunately can't travel to Disney because I live in another state and we're not that rich, but I do plan on purchasing the lightsaber from eBay later this year. I look forward to owning to the lightsaber. Edit: By the way Kitra, I love Rey Skywalker too :)
I want to send you a pic of my kiddo on an airplane. She is all bundled up in a hoodie with a face and eye mask on. She looks like a Star Wars people. I was like what? Who does that look like?
Loving the Sabre it’s cool as... also, the mando helmet is fantastic. It’s easily the best one Hasbro has done to date 👌🏼 had mine delivered in the U.K. just over a week ago.
"What are you holding on to so tightly?" "Eggs. I just need to be real careful with these Eggs. They are egg-like, so... I gotta be careful. You know? You don't eat eggs? Maybe you don't know. Nevermind."
Thanks for sharing the lightsaber. I love that saber and the one your friend have. I really want one but won't be there any time soon and frankly shouldn't buy more light sabers :). Again thanks for sharing and love the tree up!!
Love having these videos back in my feed thanks guys, I've been trying to search online but having no luck can Legacy Lightsabers be purchased online and shipped internationally? Also loved seeing the baby sith ducklings 😁 miss seeing the Disney ducks.
If I hadn't seen your video where Sir James showed off his Rey lightsaber that actually has the flick at the neck of the saber to turn it on I would be more impressed by the Galaxy's Edge version. If only Disney did just a bit more. It's the same problem I have with the Luke saber where you have to swap out the neck to fit the blade in. I've seen other companies do it without having to change the look.
The thing you need to consider is I’m sure James spent 2-3 times the price on that saber. Disney is trying to produce these to sell at a certain price and sometimes they have to make a compromise. To me the legacy sabers are more of a display piece so I’m okay with it.
Something that I'm hoping they'll do is adjust the era themes of Batuu between Clone Wars, OT, and eventually the High Republic. It'd be REALLY cool to see how they interpret them.
Another lightsaber video I am right of the bat here. The new rays saber is cool and the great part is for the saberforge Rey's lightsaber you the top like liea's saber for the opening and closing of the flaps and I am glad that they didn't did that. And 1 request if you wizarding world of Harry Potter I will come on every single video of that.
Was this from 5/11/2021?? I was at Disney land yesterday hoping I’d run into you guys, but i guess i missed you if you were there on the 11th. Loved the video!!!!
I was at Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios WDW last week and they had 3 lightsabers (that no one wants), and no legacy sabers, and almost nothing on the shelves. Disappointing. But Rise of the Resistance was incredible, Smuggler's Run (I was a gunner) wasn't bad, and Star Tours was pretty fun, too.
Hello all - Does anyone know how reservations for Lamplight lounge works? Are they just all full? Or do they open at beginning of a week or? For example, its currently mid-May. Would mid July reservations already be taken?
