REY Galaxy’s Edge REMEMBERED ADELYNN! Episode 2 

Kids are just so pure. She was asking for Rey like she was her dear friend. The moment she saw Rey, she took off running to get to her and hug her.

Imagine being a kid and truly believing that was Rey, maybe a hero for that little girl. Then having Rey take you around. What an amazing moment for that little girl.

"I saw Darth Vader!" somewhere Kylo wipes a tear of joy off his cheek then pumps his fist "YES! people think I'm Darth Vader!"

Whatever they pay her, quadruple it and then double it again.

This young actress has a huge heart for young children. Half the time she is below the eye level of the young girl. Giving her full attention. It's easy to see she deeply loves kids.

1. Kid is winning at Disney. 2. Rey is winning at life.

I kinda want Daisey Ridley to see this. NOT to compare, but to let her see what she indirectly inspired. And to see the uncanny resemblance this girl has to her.

I remember when I was a kid I was “best friends” with Alice, even after like a half a year later it was the same actress and she remembered me. I’d always wear a costume (my mom packed normal clothes just in case but I only wore the costumes) and one time I dressed up as Alice and I remember I saw her again and she took me to meet the Queen of Hearts. My mom might still have a picture of me walking with her holding hands. I remember I wrote a letter to her thanking her and she wrote back, she apologized for taking so long to respond “I was busy having tea with the Mad Hatter.” I’ll never forget that. She was also the one who told me that the Yeti at the Matterhorn is named “Harold” and she was “good friends” with him so I didn’t need to be scared. Kind of related but Mary Poppins told me to say hi to Billy the goat the next time we went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Even when I was older I’d still say hi to Billie when we zoomed by out of tradition or something like that. Disneyland is such a magical place.

I met this actress who portrays Rey (about 4 days ago) and she truly is amazing. My daughter was asleep after a really long day (nearly 11pm), and she knelt down by her stroller, and whispered ‘May the Force be with you’ and posed for a photo. She definitely deserves a raise!

You know what, I’m one of the “hardened nearly 40yo Star Wars nerds” that isn’t at all keen on the sequel trilogy. However your little girls reaction to Rey has just highlighted to me that the sequels are doing for today’s kids, exactly what the originals did for me when I was a kid. Maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy. I’ll have to give the sequels another shot.
