#CartoonNetwork welcomes #MexicanWrestling hero #ReyMysterio, and if Rey is a hero inside the ring, now he is one within children's entertainment.
Óscar Gutiérrez made his first contribution to the world of #Wrestling in 1989 as a high school teenager, although he was born in #SanDiego 🇺🇸, he was forged 100% in Tijuana 🇲🇽, mainly by his uncle the deceased #ReyMysterioSr ✝️ who stopped those years he was already a quite popular legend in Mexican wrestling, being on par with legendary wrestlers like #ElSantoSr ✝️, #BlueDemonSr ✝️, #MilMascaras ✝️ among others. Oscar was nicknamed #Colibri for the agility he demonstrated in aerial wrestling, but his uncle gave him the nickname #ReyMysterioJr for his great performance and evolution that he demonstrated in training during his youth.
It was in 1992 that Rey officially debuted in the #AAA (#TripleA), one of the two top wrestling companies in Mexico, facing the retired #JuventudGuerrera, #LatinLover, #Psychosis, #PerroAguayoJr ✝️ among others, and also the former fighter # Konan 🇨🇺 supported him on many occasions, being one of his first teammates at the beginning of his career.
By 1995, Rey stepped into the American rings 🇺🇸, starting in the extinct companies #ECW & #WCW, having rivalry attempts with the aforementioned #JuventudGuerrera & #Psychosis. During 1999 Mysterio teamed up with #Konan against #TheOutsiders where the retired #KevinNash 🇺🇸 would humiliate him by stripping him of his mask, being the first time that the wrestling world saw his true identity, and thus beginning a long rivalry where he would defeat him in the course of that year.
Already at the beginning of the #NewMillenium during 2002 Mysterio debuted in the blue brand #SmackDown of the world's top wrestling company #WWE 🇺🇸 again wearing the mask and having rivalries with the retired #EddieGuerrero ✝️🇺🇸🇲🇽, #ChavoGuerrero 🇺🇸🇲🇽, #KurtAngle 🇺🇸 among others. Thanks to his victory in the 2006 #RoyalRumble, Mysterio is in a triple fight against #KurtAngle & #RandyOrton 🇺🇸 for the #WorldWrestlingChampionship during the company's biggest event, the popular #Wrestlemania22 where he makes history by defeating both and becoming the first Mexican heavyweight champion in history.
He recently maintains a rivalry with his son #DominikMysterio, being the third member of the family to bear that nickname, and perhaps Rey has nothing to do with the world of #HipHop, but the tribute to his former partner #EddieGuerrero ✝️ in #Wrestlemania39 together with #SnoopDogg he gave a lot to talk about in 2023.
