All these comments criticizing her style and looks are pathetic. Y'all are focusing on the wrong things. She's an amazing singer and breath of fresh air in a genre filled with way too many racists and gate keepers. Have a seat and enjoy the show, or hush up and move along if she's not your cup of tea.
@scribe712 She's the one trying to break into mainstream country music. She has a great voice but unless other artists in that genre accept her, she's not going to make it. And walking around looking like that is NOT the way to do it. Too many other Black female country music artists who are classier. She will NEVER be allowed to perform at the Grand Ole Opry looking like that. If she's never afforded that opportunity, then she's not REAL country. And yes, I like her voice and as a woman of color myself, I'd love to see more representation in country music. But not by women who dress like her. Not by women who are going to make it harder for other Black female country artists to be taken seriously. If wants to dress like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Sexy Red, then she needs to switch genres. Country music is about CLASS. Not A**. Enough said.
As an exotic black American/mixed Navajo Indian I know how difficult it is to fit into the rock and roll/country genre being a non-wyte person. People have to understand that a form of music that moves your spirit has nothing to do with race. Reyna is a country girl at heart who's trying to blend country with fashion. Being a fully black woman who wants to rock out bang her head one second and be stylish while she's doing it may not be something that the folks are accustomed to and may take some warming up too, Jewel was amazing at blending fashion with her tune. she'd be a great mentor for Reyna😊
This young lady has got an incredible country voice, unfortunately she's not being marketed right! She looks like a rapper! On the other hand a lot of people can say she won't make it! She's already made it! With social media these guys don't need record deals!
@@kadriyebuyuk5583 she's already made it in country music! She don't need Nashville, Nashville needs her!! She got plenty of time. She's young! I wish her the best!!
She hasn't made it. How do I know? Because most of us haven't heard of her until now. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe she's ever played the Grand Ole Opry. Or sold out concert arenas. She's also not on the country music charts. She's not even close to being on the level of selling records or concert tickets like Dolly Parton, Faith Hill, Reba McIntyre, Laney Wilson, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, etc. When she gets there, then and only then, will she have made it. As for not needing record deals, that's true if she wants to spend her life hustling and making pocket change. But not if she wants to make millions. Enough said.
@@scribe712 actually making it is a state of mind she's getting paid for what she's doing she doesn't need a record deal! She got paid to sing the national anthem at a F1 race. Again you don't need a record deal!! And remember she's a kid she's young she's got plenty of time to grow
I also think if she did something more unique verses swinging her red wig around similar to how wyte rockers rock out to display their approval of a song, verse, or a guitar spread.
I love Reyna's sound & she seems like a pretty decent person, based on her interviews. Unfortunately, her management decided to market her like they do Black female rappers. I hope she realizes that's a mistake; otherwise, I don't she her being as big as she could be.
Why doesn’t it match? Is it because you think she need to dress like Carrie underwood nem she not about to stop being a black womanly because some y’all already got it in y’all head and heart that country is a white folks sport lol and that’s where you first went wrong at.Bebe Rexa dress similar and everyone gushes
The clothes don't match the vibe. Her voice is absolutely perfect for country, she's got that twang. Outfit was a terrible choice. It's not that she is showing off her body (that doesn't bother me at all) the style is just wrong.
Not her saying have a blessed day but dressed like that. I blame her management team. A woman can be dressed tastefully and trendy nowadays as a singer. She can look shapely and beautiful without looking like a stripper. They did her wrong.
A person's clothing doesn't necessarily determine a person's character. Plenty of "modestly" dressed people are walking around saying and doing unsavory things.
You may not like her look, but that is 100 percent a country song and you don’t get to come on here letting words fall out of your mouth and think it’ll be so just cause you said it. Are you a narcissist? What? Even a person blind and deaf could tell that is a country song. So go to bed or something. Maybe you’re not feeling well.
