Just wanted to put this out there. The director of the game did confirm they heard about complaints like the camera and are working on a patch to release as soon as possible.

I like how your reviews aren’t the normal type of video game reviews per se. More so an in-depth gameplay and sometimes lore and story analysis on the game overall. It’s good to shake things up a little bit every now and then.

So I just played the demo that released a few days ago(middle of September) and I have to say I had a good time, enough to eventually pick the game up so thanks for keeping this game on my radar. I'll take a crumb of anything Square Enix related till KH4 comes out.

so my question is, how do we play it? should we play the world ends with you 1 & 2 before we touch this game? and the game your describing, is this the cross over ? or the separate version of Reynatis? do you think that there maybe a way for the creators to update it to fix its issues ?

It's an alternate universe for the TWEWY crossover, I doubt they'd add serious continuity for NEO TWEWY

As someone who’s familiar with FuRyu games I’m not at all surprised about how middling this game sounds, the only game of theirs that I genuinely thoroughly enjoyed was The Alliance Alive on 3DS. That being said, the director to this game said his favorite Nomura games were KH2 and 358/2 Days which are my favorites so I might cop it once it hits $20 or something lmao They also planned out a whole ass free DLC roadmap which is something they didn’t need to do but is pretty cool I guess lol

I would say Reynatis is more like the Precursor of Final Fantasy 15... Or more known as Final Fantasy versus 13.

If you want another game like this, Natsume-Atari worked on Kamen Rider Memory of Heroez too, which I heard plays like this. Also, Kamen Rider is a fantastic TV series with some of the shows sharing the same vibes as Kingdom Hearts.

This is absolutely on the list now, honestly i wish we could get a TWEWY that doesnt have jank controls on ps5. On that note: god i wish neo TWEWY didnt have such a jank system, i wanted to like it but having each pin have it's own button to press absolutely broke me

Is it the same kinda format as astral chain , monster hunter rise, crisis core or nier automata? Where u get missions, but it s not really a RPG, u get lots of battle and a light story in the background, but its mainly focused on the combat?

I'll cop... after a deep deep sale lol. Looks janky and yes the graphics are not great but could be fun. Graphics aren't everything (Ys is one of my fav series) but I think they could do better. For 60 I'd grab Ys 8 over this 10/10 times. Still looking forward to see more!

my last fyuryu experience was monark that was visually pleasing but has a design flaw, when you win a fight you earn spirit points which is the level un system and the currency and is share by the whole party which means that to level up one of the 6 character and buy items you need to grind a lot.

I could've done without the return of low-detail empty repetitive padding environments like that forrest. But other than that, it sounds exactly as expected, which is certainly good enough for me.

@@Nakatomi_Kagehisa I mean the creator is very open about his influences with the game. He even had Tetsuya Nomura (KH Director) help him out with advice for the game. But a lot of these Shibuya based games are giving off that Square Enix vibe, KH is just the example used. Twewy would be another.

Yup. Just tried both PC and Switch back to back... I thought it wouldn't be demanding given how graphically it looks like a pretty average mobile game (except the forest bit, oof... Dare I say N64? 🤦‍♂️), But yeah either my standards are too high or this is very poorly optimized... Still fun though 😅

You lost me with all that product placement. I was thinking the combat looked badass. But i will never play another game with product placement again. FF15 was enough. It had a quest dedicated to Cup Noodles. Smh no way.
